Wow that's the highest hydro I've ever seen! The highest I've seen is 8 stories. That's probably a TH-cam record for the highest hydro elevator with 9 stories.
Jordan Lowe ElevaTours Canada I'm not sure where on TH-cam it is but when I find it I will send you the link. BTW DieselDucy hasn't seen the highest. I researched the highest hydro and it's 16 floors in some state west of where I live, and it's scenic.
That's quite the hodge-podge. Let me make sure I observed correctly...older italicized and flush Series 1 buttons inside with the green/yellow door and alarm buttons, newer non-flush Series 1 buttons in the hall, typical Otis directional indicators, newer Series 1 floor passing chime, generic up/down chime, and then of course that dot-matrix floor indicator...so bizarre! The way the up/down chime happens after the door opens almost makes me think Dover/TK had something to do with this, especially considering those floor indicators look a lot like their dot-matrix displays (but i could be totally wrong in that hypothesis)
That's a tall hydraulic elevator! But it seems very inefficient and illogical to have a hydraulic elevator traveling that kind of height though. Traction is by far more convenient and better quality ride for buildings with 6+ floors.
That is far too slow for nine floors because usually for other elevators that go up to like probably seven and yet it takes literally not even a second for each beep to pass
thats a bad idea having a door hold toggle switch, i bet there sick of finding the lift to switch it back over, and the reason you dont see hydraulic elevators max 10 floors is because it gets a bit silly doing more, you would need a tank as big as a swimming pool, and rams with 100ft strokes, not to mention the problems of harmonics and car bounce, ime a lift enginner from the uk, good site :)
Feels great to be watching the community's videos again! The highest hydro I've ever ridden is 10 floors.
Where was the 10 floor hydro?

there is a Minnesota elevator in Atlanta that goes 13 stories
@@DieselDucy Oh... right. It’s at the Whiskey Blue at the W Hotel in Buckhead Atlanta... and the only one that is not keycarded off.
OMG CALEB!
@@210MichiganRails what up 😂
@@313Railfan omg how did I found you in this commment
there is a hydraulic elevator with 10 floors?
10 Story
Gundersen lutheran in lacrosse has some vintage otis elevators updated by schumacher and the indicstor beepers sound very similar
Normally Hydraulic elevators are in buildings of 6 floors or less, & Traction elevators are normally in buildings of 7 floors or more.
nice elevator Andrew and fast must be around 200fpm? great video
I love your videos
The right car has an A-sharp beep on the floor indicator but the left one has an A pitch on its floor beep.
Hydro is an interesting choice for 9 floors...i wonder why they chose it to be like that
The tallest Hydraulic Elevator I’ve ever ridden was 8 floors.
A 9 story hydraulic elevator, that must be a new record on TH-cam.
+Jordan Lowe ElevaTours Canada The record for TH-cam was 13 floors
+Uphoisting Experiences by Technicalboy3000 can you send me the link to that?

0:00 like the intro
thanks!
For everyone who says 9 floors is a YT record, nope. GeorgeF551 has a video of a 13 floor roped hydro.
please post link.
+DieselDucy Seems like it has been taken down, and only one video of it remains.
I wonder why they chose to have hydraulic elevators in such a tall building.
The LED numeric display is reminiscent of 1970s game shows!
Your on Minnesota
Second tallest hydraulic elevator in the US
The tallest hydraulic lift I have ever filmed was 6 floors & 6 stops
This is not as HIGHdraulic as the glass roped hydraulic elevator at Whiskey Blue
Whisky Blue is skydraulic -_-
Are you saying anytime you see that indicator, it’s a Minnesota Elevator?
Elevating Western PA Productions most of the time... correct
These actually say "Minnesota Elevator co." above the COP, and sometimes that indicator was used for KONE, and MAYBE Schindler.
Yes, I know. I'm just asking for other elevators that also use that indicator & don't have the logo on the panel.
Even though the indicator and chimes are manufactured by Minnesota Elevator.
I thought they were generic indicators & chimes?

Was This Done On The T900?
Is it classic or roped?

Talk about a HIGHdraulic elevator! Anything I've been on 7 floors or higher is a traction.

This beat the record! Sorry Market Parking Garage.
Borderline SKYdraulic
Very nice Install But It should been Traction for sure
+PAelevators That's FAST for hydraulic.
I first thought these were Schindler’s because of the time.
That's a cool set of elevators.
In my city there is a 9 story HIGH hydraulic elevator too. It's always out of service !
I want to film it.
8 is as tall as I've ridden.

Floor 10 button is blank & doesn’t do anything.

Ok
Door Switch 3:18
Yep
Somewhat looks like a European-style elevator.

Yep
Can't be that efficient at all. There is a reason why they don't offer hydraulics more than 7 stories anymore
That is far too slow for nine floors because usually for other elevators that go up to like probably seven and yet it takes literally not even a second for each beep to pass
It was pretty quick for a hydro.
Lol 2 Minnesota Brand and a state😂

+Tony Baines oh and when you press the door close button, all you are doing is shorting the door dwell timer out.
Wdym by car bouncing? Low on oil?
Still not the highest hydro i've hear of. There's a hydro out there that goes 11 floors!
Do you know where that 11 floor hydraulic is?
+ElevatorMan5482 ElevExperiencing Productions The highest hydro goes 16 floors and it's in California.
+Uphoisting Experiences by Technicalboy3000 Oh my. You would need a deeeeeeep pit for a hydraulic elevator that high
HuskyTech It's glass too and goes up to a restaurant
+Uphoisting Experiences by Technicalboy3000 Is there a video of this elevator? I would love to see it in action.
Nice hydraulic elevator Minnesota elevator
So far it looks like Minnesota makes high quality elevators.
When was this taken ?
This is too high. 4 floors above ground (and 7 in total) is ok, but 9. This Place should have traction.

Crap Generic Hydro 9 Floors Why bother
There are NO generics in USA. They just look like generics.
They are Generics Minnesota did not Design or Make the Parts
Nope.
Janky ass Hydro
Hydraulics are faster in the United States of America than the United Kingdom.
9 stories is way too high for a hydro my friend
+MKE Aviation And Elevators It isn't.

In the United Kingdom hydraulics are NOT suitable for large applications.
