    Hi Terry👋, one of those time consuming jobs that, gravel out, re pipe , gravel in not to mention handling a lot of delicate plants!! Great job👍 Nice to see your covers off although the weather is still not quite playing ball. Bet you will be glad to see the last of that blossom too pretty as it is. What a phenomenal achievement with that view count, hardly a surprise though your videos are a joy to watch ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

      Hi Paul, that's right mate, it looks so easy to do, but it took me ages 😂😂I put it down to me getting old🤣🤣The trees are a complete pain mate. There's 5 of them around my garden that blossom, and you can bet on the wind blowing it all in my garden😮😮the wife says I get on her nerves moaning about it🤣🤣🤣I have never looked at the amount of views my videos have had, so it came as a bit of a shock mate, so thank you for your support. You have a great season mate, Terry.

    Nice one Terry, season's here hooray 👍, you can get evergreen ferns to fill that spot Terry or Chinese paper bush, they do lose their leaves in winter but the stem and branches are quite architectural and, should hinder herons if bush is large enough, glorious scent from flowers in Feb/March, leaves grow once flowers finished 👍.

    The pond and garden are looking great and so nice to see the covers off. Weather here has been up and down from 29C one day to - 4C three days later so our ponds are only starting to slowly warm to a reasonable temperature for the fish. Fingers crossed things warm up and stay that way soon. Congratulations on the number of views...very very impressive. Cheers

    Oh, your pond is beautiful! I am working on my first pond, but it will be in a tank above ground. I'm watching every thing I can to get ideas about filters and bog filters. I love the baby tears bog filter you have.

    Great video as always, however, I can only watch with envy as the temperatures here in Yorkshire are so much lower my covers need to stay on for a couple of weeks longer. I am impatient to see the back of them and the sight of your lovely pond in its full glory only makes my impatience worse.

    Hey Terry's, good to see the covers off finally!
    For the bog filter try using pea gravel, the round stones help the water flow. It made a huge difference to mine

    Looking really great the pond Terry a nice tree fern or fan palm would look nice in that open space at the back of the pond I have about 5 tree ferns loads of aces red banana plants and olive trees around my pond it looks very tropical keep them coming always looking forward to seeing your video updates 👍

    Great update as always Terry. Gosh the Babies Tears are amazing. Mine is all growing at the back of the pond where sometimes I have cut bits and thrown it on the floor.
    Fish are.looking good, water is super clear, happy koi season.
    And what an amazing journey so far on TH-cam. Many more years to go!

      Hi honeypot, I hope all's well with you 2, and thank you. My baby tears is running riot in the bog filter, and on the ground. Mine did go a bit brown in one place where it had been up against the polyethene, but it will sort it's self out. I have never looked before at how many views I'd had, so it was a bit of a shock when I saw it 😮😮😧 thanks again, and I hope you have a great season, take care, Terry.       @@Wrighty it's strange isn't it, we can move some fish on and things like that, and then you lose a special one and it's a massive blow. I was really down for a few days, he was quality and really grew nicely so pretty gutted...

      That's the problem Lau, we do get so attached to them. I think it's easier to move them on because we believe their going to be looked after and cared for, but when you l lose one, it's so final. I felt just the same Lau, when I lost Nelly (my big 80cm sanke) we do get so attached to them.

    In the past you've told us how you make dechlorinator. Please would you remind me what the chemical is you use.
    An update for you. I asked you in the past about stopping the fish knocki the food from the floating inner tubes and keep the food away from the skimmer. A few well placed air stones was the solution 😎 plus adding an inverted fish tank and feed in there...

    Cracking pond and cracking filtration setup specially as you’ve built it yrself and just a thought for the big filter couldn’t you use a piece of blackout mesh which keeps roots contained as such 🤔

    We lost more plants than ever and blame the snow. the plant after the mention of the bottle brush plant is a japanese rose. Relatively easy to take a cutting from and push it into the ground six inches. Best in autumn

      @@Wrighty No worries. I was concerned you had lost the budleja but then i remembered that was filmed at easter. Check the leaves as it starts to grow, caterpillars can devastate the plants early growth. Something im dealing with this year. 2am garden walks

    16:30 Have I lost the plot or was the gravel itself meant to be the lone biological filter media in that bog filter? I'm not any kind of pond keeper, just someone following along trying to learn and enjoy seeing the fish.

      Chuck some Alfagrog(?) under most of the gravel and you can get away with it as a bog filter? Have a great pond season.
