I pre-ordered this smartwatch, it was really fun to be the first to have one and I could even use the watch during exams the cheat because nobody knew what it was. It turned a lot of heads back in the day. I have used it for 2 years and slowly forgot about it. As of 2021 I got myself the Galaxy Watch 3 LTE. It's safe to say this LG G watch doesn't hold up to the current competition, but nonetheless it was great for its time and set the foundation of smartwatches today, as you can see in this video. If you have a low budget I highly recommend the Huawei Band for fitness or the Samsung Active for daily use. Cheers

I know, that's the thing with these older smart watches. With these small of (rechargable) batteries on older watches, they really just decline over time. It's unfortunate, but it happens.
Definitely the Amazfit. It would be much more functional for today's world. The LG G Watch is cool as a novelty because it's the first of it's kind. I would never recommend it for daily use however.
I would try the Wear OS app like you said, and if that doesn't end up working try resetting the watch to factory settings which then may let you add it to your iPhone. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what else to do. Since this was one of the first smart watches, it may have some compatibility issues with iOS. Let me know if you get it to work!

Most likely that is the case. You can also check your phone settings to make sure that the Wear OS app doesn't limit background/battery usage, as this could slow the syncing of apps.
Yes, you can customize the watch face to different ones available as well as download other customization apps that can get you the watch face you want.

Well it works, head on to xda for Android wear 2 port. It's a bit slow, but works well and much better than the original os

Compass doesn't work when charging because the magnet behind the charging base stops the gyroscope from working properly

Mine is connecting but no apps that I download pop up in its little app drawer nor does Google features work like they should or at all

That battery problem is exactly what my g watch R started doing until it just wouldn't turn on

Would you have any advice on how to connect this to an iphone 6s+? I tried wearOs but the watch does not show up and its an LG Gwatch w100 AA5A :(
