Loved your video! Too many TH-camrs are idiots, to be blunt. You were sincere, intelligent, and a pleasure to watch. Your Cody seems like a sweetheart! Thank you!
I almost cried watching it. That's because Cody looks almost like my beloved Tina, who died last year. I have lost two of my old huskies during the last year. 2 months ago we have adopted another one (she also looks like yours). I have two of them.
@@explorewithscottkennedy8645 Oh, I'm really sorry. My post must have made you sad in that moment... I'd just say, that I was looking for months to find a dog that looked just like my Tina. When I'd found her and brought home, just after 4 days my other dog Tosia passed away. It was 2 months ago. Both Tina and Tosia were taken old (ca. 10 y.o.) and we knew it won't last for a long period of time. But you know what? I will not hasitate to adopt another old dog in the future. These huskies are one of the best things I ever experienced in my life.
I know the feeling Scott This past Wednesday I had to say goodbye to my 11 year old Husky Orion. He was a powerful spirit but gentle soul and an incredible friend. Kinda like you, we rescued him as a 2-year-old from a small urban home that just wasn’t suitable for a wild, rambunctious boy that needed to be in the wild. It helps that as I write this, we know he is without pain and his spirit is racing with his other departed brothers through the cold and powdery snow doing what he loves. I will always miss him but thank you for posting these videos to remind me of the wonderful nine years we had together. It just wasn’t long enough. Rest in Peace brother; until we meet again to roam through the quiet woods.
I lost my husky Alex in April 2021 and I miss him terribly. He reminds me of Cody in that he was a talker and we also had our silly little games and messed around with each other. He wanted to be up on the bed and pretty much curled up with me each night so when I awoke, I could pet him. Alex was also a great friend. I think of him frequently and feel like he was taking from too soon but I also feel blessed he was part of life for 14 years and I wouldn’t trade those years for anything.
Thanks for sharing Richard, it’s been a roller coaster of emotions since Cody passed away so I know how you feel. Alex sounds a lot more affectionate than Cody. Cody never wanted to be up on the bed even though I always tried to get him to cuddle with me haha. Well I hope all the best for you and hopefully we both find another great dog in the future.
I use a shop vac in the blowing mode to blow the husky hair out. It is so much easier than heavy combing. Thank you for your service too! You are lucky that you can turn Cody off a leash. All 10 of my huskies want to run. They will come back sometime in the future if they are not taken or hit by a car.
Cody is a lovely dog 🤍. My 4 month old husky LOVES being on the bed, and sheds like crazy! He's driving me insane with the biting (first time dog owner), but he's hilariously clumsy and sweet i love him and cant wait to give him a life full of adventure!
Haha not a lot of forest when you live by the ocean. Cody got a lot of forest and mountain time during his 16 years of life. Hopefully he’s pulling sleds in heaven 😇
Furminators rule. 3 y/o Scout has figured out since he knows he needs it anyway, to make furminating a rough play event which he finds very satisfying. As serious a dog as he is, that he want to do it as a game is a big deal. Scout resembles Cody with the white face.
Twice a year usually in March & August Huskies "blow their under coat" .. and man you honestly need the love & patience during this time..there is "fur clouds all over your home" .. U got to brush, brush & brush than vacuum , vacuum & vacuum and no black clothing..I luv my grandson's husky Aria..alot of energy but super friendly.. wouldn't be the same without our husky..
My husky was very unreliable off leash when he was younger. I lost and found him many times. They are escape artists but once they are trained it gets better.

Thanks for sharing, I know how you feel. Cody actually passed away last month.

That's the main reason I don't get pets. When they die... nope. I don't want to go through this once every 15 years. Nope, nope, nope...
@@valeenoi2284 Yeah it’s tough to deal with but I’m happy he had a good long life. Dogs aren’t for everyone that’s for sure 🐶

Oh wow I’m really sorry to hear that. It’s so hard to say goodbye but I’m glad he had a great life with you. Thanks for the comment!

Oh that’s a great solution to the crazy amounts of hair. Yeah Cody was an escape artist when he was younger but he grew out of it.

Cody is handsome!! I have a husky also (that SHEDS YEAR ROUND) and i really like the 2-sided undercoat rake for floof control 😃
Thanks! Huskies are the best!
Great video. I hope Cody still alive and well, I also have a husky… best dogs ever 🐺
Thank you! Cody passed a few months ago but he lived a great life and will always be in my heart. They are the best!

Yeah those furminators work great! Glad you found a way to make it a fun experience for your husky hahaha. I wish Cody enjoyed it more.
My husky doesn’t like the furminator either but she does like the SleekEZ wooden brush.
Nice, I’ll have to check it out.
Great video 👌🏼
Thank you!

Haha yeah I feel you on that! My husky seemed to be blowing his coat most of the year so you could find dog hair everywhere in my home and car!

This husky seems good off leash. I heard they are usually very unreliable off leash no?

Seems pretty independent to me.
