In the rise puzzles (Chelonas Rise) I think the player needs to activiate the imp statue EVERY TIME to activate the puzzle. If you fast travel or rest at grace, I think the puzzle deactivates. So, you cant solve the puzzle without activating the imp statue after rest/fast travel.
Oh thank God you found the Two Fingers Heirloom faith talisman that could have been with your build a long while back. It's very satisfying seeing you tie up so many loose ends. This game, my first Fromsoft, is rather heartbreaking all too oft. I sometimes wish Miyazaki held more of the Gene Roddenberry vision of humankind than the George R.R. Martin sort.
Rennala being put behind a bookshelf like some old grandma with dementia relegated to her rocking chair in the corner room is a hilarious contrast to Sellen statement and hubris, only to come back into the light probably going like "Youngsters these days....sheeesh"
The lore description on azur and lusat and seeing what happened to them after glimpsing the truth of the primeval current may offer a hint as to what happened with Sellen

Just my theoryes if you want to read them I think when Iji says about jail in metaphorical meaning ,not literally jail,just theory,not spoiler. Like he was in jail sering her,but then kinda brake free, i guess. Maybe he wanted to be marry on Ranni and someone took his place ,and thats make him angry/brake free of his jail,kinda.Again,its all theories,when i played this game i didnt think about it,huh. And yeah,black knife assasins atta k is kinda weird,still dont have reasonable explanation for it.

Can confirm,if you sit on grace,teleport or go far from imp it resets
