    Have you tried the MG yet? What do you think about the car and my tune if you wanna try that?
    If you just want to use the tune, it's also shared on Forza under my username "HDeeRacing". I also shared one for the Spotlight Series at 800 PI now!

      Hello HD, another excellent vid. I spent a little time on the MG last evening and I agree it’s a fun car to drive. I did some minor tuning and like yourself I upgraded the differential as soon I could. I will try your tune. On the note of tuning, I tried your 90 Miata tune and my race results were the best since I started FM. The tune is an excellent combination of handling and speed, so thank you! I spent most of my time last evening doing the Builders Cup Boutique series and tried the Gordon Murray. Way too much car for me however the sound of that V12 is amazing. Keep up the great work!👍

    TP's can be ok at 1.9 and 1.8, depends on how the car feels. If it feels sluggish, go for something like 2.1 and 2.0 as it will make it feel more agile.

    Just done qualifying on Suzuka full with soft compound, tyres were yellow by end of the 2nd lap.
    Early days yet but looking like the MG is becoming the new top dog going by what people are racing.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've noticed more and more that people struggle in the later part of stints on tires. This might just be the one weakness. 🫣

      Do you think the 308 has the same weakness?

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I don't think so. There are better cars in terms of tires, but it's not nearly as bad as the MG.

  • @effisjens1776
    @effisjens1776 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm more on the Peugeot side of things for this one, arguably the best in terms of feeling and handeling for all the touring cars so far. My current main, the lynk (in stock tune), always was twitchy under braking but this "issue" is non-existent in the Peugeot. It gives me more confidence to push through corners and go faster, sometimes too much confidence 😅
    Tire wear though, the things you mentioned seem to be true to me as well. I've recently had cases where mediums would not last for one stint by 1 whole lap. Might be the nature of FWD cars or my driving style, who knows.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really like the Peugeot as well. It just feels nice to drive. Had a good race at Suzuka already. Video will follow in over the weekend probably. 😊👍

    Nice vid :) Are lower tire pressures becoming the meta? A month ago I was seeing a lot around 2.2-2.3bar (32-34psi) and recently I’m noticing the range is more towards 1.8-1.9bar (27-28.5psi).
    And does it make much of a difference in your opinion?

    • @rainerstuber2331
      @rainerstuber2331 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the track and your lines. Depending on your line you need different Tyre pressure to achieve the optimal tyre Temperatur and grip.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've found for me that lower pressures improve my lap time a bit. Though the difference is not as big as some people make it out to be. Having anything between 1.9 and 2.2 should be fine for most people. Just if you want those last couple of tenths is where fine tuning that comes in.

  • @lankymk
    @lankymk ปีที่แล้ว

    I did a basic tune and found it to be a good car, I love the handling, not usually a fan of FWD cars but the MG and 308 both seem great to drive and competitive.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, from what I've found I would agree, both are fun in their own way.

    • @lankymk
      @lankymk ปีที่แล้ว

      Tried my favourite touring car, the Subaru (because it's RWD) and although I like the MG for handling I still much prefer the Sub, sadly it's a lot slower, especially on certain tracks. (For me anyway, it lacks power.... allot)

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I really like the Subaru as well. But unfortunately it is only competitive if you can do a no-stopper while others can't or is you can go to a better tire compound than anyone else. And even than it's a struggle sometimes.

  • @GuilhermeTLB

    @lankymk ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm expecting the MG and 308 to tweaked in the future.
    I personally wouldn't say they are OP but they are both very strong even with the extra tyre wear.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      I tend to agree that both might be a tad bit too strong, but I fear we will not see any balancing for a while. The Audi R8 is still a thing in the GT Series. 🙈

  • @raffrouser9074
    @raffrouser9074 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey I tried your tune and stock and I cut off an average of 3 seconds off each lap. Tyre life with the fronts were the same for me. Essentially I had to pit at the end of lap 4 on the races I did, which was Spain and another that I can't remember off the top of my head.
    I did a race on hards and had to pit at like lap 6 or 5 every time.
    Hope that helps along with your findings ✌

      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great to hear that the tune works well for you. 😊👍 Adjusting brake pressure is fair, I understand that controller players tend to do that. On wheel and pedals it's not necessary for me.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think it works that way. More brake pressure should just mean that you can hit optimal brake amount earlier (with lower amount of pedal force), but shouldn't improve braking performance. It also should mean that it would be easier to lock up the tires. Though I might be wrong, as Forza can be weird sometimes. But I would be surprised if more brake pressure meant better performance. I personally set the brake pressure on my pedal, so I can reliably hit ~70-80% for heavy braking zones.

    Tuned at what level of the car? Once options unlocked at lvl 25 or lvl 50 where you can chose any parts you want? I usually look at car levels in the upper right but that was where you were.

    • @lankymk
      @lankymk ปีที่แล้ว

      It'll be stock, no upgrades.
      He'll be setting it for MP touring spec series, in the case of the MG there's no upgrades at all to race in that MP series, some cars do get minor upgrades for balancing reasons.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      If I do fine-tuning for multiplayer spec series, the car is always in the upgrade state that you drive there. Normally that's anything between level 1-8 needed to get that tune into Singleplayer. You can take a look here if you need help with that: th-cam.com/video/quCTMqcowlg/w-d-xo.html

  • @adamanonymous6885
    @adamanonymous6885 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm no expert on tuning, but a lot of my setup is quite similar... Personally I found this car improved massively when I maxed out both Anti-dive and Anti-squat settings.... In fact, I'd generally say I've found max Anti-squat to be almost essential for powerful FWD cars, as a way to at least minimise the on-throttle understeer problems by minimising weight transfer away from the drive wheels under acceleration.
    The downside to this kind of setup is you absolutely shred the front tyres as your often "solving" the understeer by forcing the back end to turn for you and thus constantly dragging the front tyres across the track, so I might well try your tune to see if it lets me run races on something other than hard tyres. Is this a tune for the car with stock upgrades, or did you also take it up to 800 PI?

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the hint with anti-dive/-squat, I will give that a try. This is a tune for the Touring Car Spec Series, so 716 PI.

    I like the TCR series. I like FWD cars and anything more than low 700s feels too fast for my skill level and epilepsy. I really like this car alot, it is big fun racing in the MG spotlight series and im sure will be tons of fun in the TCRs...looks like the Audis might not be taking the top 10 for much longer.

    I’m coming round to maybe trying more touring car racing as the more I’ve played the game (lvl 400) the more I’ve noticed how bad the aero wash is when you have a car following you. I’m hoping it won’t be as bad in slower, lower downforce cars. I usually race GT

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Touring cars can be very fun for sure. There is some mention of the Aero wash in the Update 3 preview, maybe they will properly fix it this time.

  • @CryptoPistol

    The MG is definitely a strong car, but it understeers so much that it feels bad compared with the lynk.

    • @HDeeRacing
      @HDeeRacing  ปีที่แล้ว

      It understeers a little more than the Lynk and some other cars, for sure. Handling-wise this is not the top of the line, but man does it make up for that in raw power.

    • @CryptoPistol
      @CryptoPistol ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HDeeRacing Exactly, it's pretty quick. But maybe I just can't handle the massive understeer since I can only do 1.52.2 at my best compared to your 1.51.8. The lynk is not so quick though, at about 1.52.5, but the rotating feeling when entering a corner feels much better, result in a much more stable lap time from my experience😜

    I'm really hoping the Peugeot will be very competitive, but not OP (about where the Lincoln Cow is). I resolutely don't use OP cars. For no rational reason, I'm a fan of French cars in racing games, so it would be great if I can make the Peugeot 308 my standard touring car. I drove the Peugeot at the Virginia long track once last night, but I don't like that course, and I couldn't really fully gauge the car's merits.

    • @HDeeRacing
