Glad that you posted this topic. In my opinion, the "free" option detracts from your presentation by adding background noise. I'd definitely go for the first Sennheiser example #2. Not only is it affordable @ $100.00, but it demonstrated a high quality difference compared with free #1. If the ability to move around the room is critical whenever you speak, you can rely on #3. In the quick demo, I could not distinguish a superior sound quality from #3 over the $100.00 Sennheiser model. Thanks again, Mark.

Mark always has something to pleasantly surprise me and make me laugh with the wrinkles in my eyes of a genuine smile said which ... for me definitely the second mic would work very well for me. Can you do a session on interviewing techniques for these patients. Also think about another session for malingering. Thanks for your content.
Hello Mark i have the lark m1 and i can not figure out how to connect it to zoom and the owners manuel is no help and hollyland has yet to reach back to me and i cant for the life of me figure out how to zoom with it... any help is appreciated
Recently, my company removed me from my open workspace and stuffed me into my own personal office, which allows me to have desktop speakers without harassing my co-workers. And, of course, a pair was ordered :o) While awaiting their arrival, the question of a microphone, desktop speakers, and... reverb in a 10"x13" closed space has been this unanswered question of mine. When you're using a microphone Mark, are you also using ear-buds? Have you ever tried using a microphone and speakers on a Teams call? Thanks for the video and cheers from Charlotte, NC
i reckon there must be some options before hitting the $100 range but better than that free one! i found the first sennheiser still to be a bit metallic sounding and not that impressed with the last one for that amount of money - quite boomy compared to your lectern mic. keep em coming. x
Thanks Mark, is there anything you don’t do?! I have a challenge for you…do you know any lawyer/solicitor who specializes in the immigration circus in the UK?! My son is an US citizen who they’ve lied about! He went on Dec 7 to visit his fiancé who is a British Citizen. They pulled him out of customs, handcuffed him and perp walked him to immigration. Didn’t tell him a thing, fingerprinted/full body cavity search/mugshot the whole nine yards! Interrogated him and held him for 12hrs!! They said he’d been in the UK for 12 of the last 16 months, which is insane! So they released him to his fiancé! And it just gets more silly after that! But, they told immigration he was trying to get legal advice and he was told in the UK, you have to already have a solicitor on retainer, you can’t just go out and get one?! That’s insane! Anyway all the calls they made to solicitors would cost £1200-£1800 just to walk in, no one would just do a advise call like here in the states! So, there ya have it! Any advice other than they both move to Canada?!
Mark, I have an idea for.you. There is a product ‘out there’ that silences noise surrounding the speaker, during the video. It is helpful for those of us who deal with road noise while trying to re ord videos. It’s a free product.. I haven’t had time to look into it. The podium microphone (leckton ) sounds way better then those lav mics. Which model number is it specifically ?

Yeah,, there is probably something great out there for $30 that knocks all of them out the park.
I spent £20 on mine and it's seemingly indistinguishable in quality from a £100 rig.

I don't like the first one at all. Sounds stuffed. There are affordable mics that cost less than $20.

The Sennheiser wasn't bad at all but surely there must be something between a $100 lav and a $1000.
For a Zoom call consider what the other people are using, probably something they payed $0-30 for.
The pricey version was still the best!
