I would have loved to bring my Disco to Oman, I'm here now, but was advised against it because they are very strict about surveillance. What have you done to make sure your kit isn't confiscated?

I was just thinking about the diversity receiver with the tight V arrangement. Is there any difference to just having a single receiver and single antenna going straight up? I thought I did see a difference once on a plane I had but now I'm not sure. I know there can be advantages for 3D flying but you would need the antenna positions to be further apart.

Is the FPV video link provided via the component video out on the GoPro, or do you use a separate camera for controlling the quad? I ask because I am putting together an FPV system for my quad, but I'm concerned that using the GoPro video out may create too much latency between the camera and my monitor. Thanks in advance!

I see that one of the Disco Pro's had a CP antennae. Did that ground station run a yagi as well Trappy or did you have a Helical or Patch antennae? I am guessing patch for travel size.

When I read the title DUBAI I was expecting to see much better footage as usual from your vides, Dubai has more to offer, hope you can get to go to as many location as you can since your here,i know you can get real epic videos in this area.

Team BlackSheep Ah, so a post production thing. Yeah so some stock media of a camera set on a motor-gimbal doing a time lapse...fun effect for sure, you see it a lot on Discovery Network these days :)

more, more, more! crazy sand in the road, with all the supercars there it would suck running down the road to meet a sand berm that kept you from coming back home...

I enjoy watching drones flying low in the desert, hopefully not getting picked up by enemy radar... your video should be in the movie "Zero Dark Thirty".
The drone can fly over sand piles in the road, but probably not the pilot following on the ground ;-)
