Hey there! Just spreading some positive supportive vibes today on the YT. Just subbed to support a fellow TH-cam vlogger and hiker out there. The amazing hiking and outdoor community has been amazing to me and just wanted to give back in supporting other people's channels with great content. I vlog on the east coast and I am currently section hiking the AT. Hope to get out west soon to check out some trails and National Parks. Wishing you much success to your channel and looking forward to watching more of your vids. ~RVA Hiker Girl~

Nicely done. Lots of great info and tips here. Nice to see I’m not the only one using Avenza app. It’s my primary go-to for Southern Illinois and have used it in the Red River Gorge as well. I’ve never gotten lost using it and it has gotten me back on trail after bushwhacking. Always a pleasure and take care.

Wish the SHT was on Guthrie's. Definitely would be very handy this summer with the water situation and air quality issues with the fires.

Excellent Breakdown. Gaia has been the best app i have used in the last couple years. I love being able to mark possible camp locations before getting there.

Can you record your own trips off grid, backpacking w guthook, to help navigate back to your car? or is it only for organized trails? If so, do you have a recommendation for bushwackers and crownland explorers? GREAT VIDEO 👏

I tend to use AllTrails, although I sometimes can't find certain trails in their database. Truth be told, I am a map and compass guy (yeah I'm old) but I will use my phone in a situation like you mentioned, like 'which way do I turn here' ? So I don't have to drag the map out.
Oh, and the maps aren't paper anymore !
