Those TEXrail horns sound more like European train horns than American ones.

Chartreuse Railfanning I think Stadler could’ve designed it where a Nathan P2 or Leslie RS2M would fit

To be honest, I like it this way, probably because I like watching German "Makromix" (train horn compilation) videos.

Yep, the horn is very similar to European trains, including the 1520mm/5' gauge area. Almost the same as the horns used on Russian EMUs (e.g. ED4M). Actually, the Stadler DMUs used in Austin, TX, are just like those in Estonia. European expansion, I think. Maybe they will finally replace those weird bells with pneumatic whistles.

It kinda reminds me of the NJT riverline that runs by my house.

They sound very much like NYC subway horns. Made me feel at home tbh

Great video! Arizona needs a rail line like this or Metro Link someday their could be a high speed rail link between Tucson and Phoenix but maybe they should have this instead and do high speed rail to connect some towns plus the cities

Poor Americans. It's sad to see such a third-world rail infrastructure. But at least some modern swiss made trains. Better than nothing.

Yes, poor us rude obese pigs. (On a serious note Dallas is a horrendous example of American Transit Infrastructure and while there are few American cities with transit on par with that of Europe I would not use TexRail as an example of American Transit.)
Also yes the Stadler Trainsets are the only major plus of this system
