Grew up in SJ, and everyone that played when I was a kid knew the Gaudreaus or knew someone that knew them, and knowing the pain they are going through, twice over, is just so sad. All because of one, non contributing, fat, drunken asshole.
It is such a senseless loss. There is no reason for drunk driving. You want to get drunk? Fine. Go get yourself a bottle, go home, drink and sleep it off.

I've been thinking of the Gaudreau family all day. What was supposed to have been such a special day is no more. What a loss. Parents have no longer have their two sons, two wives no longer have husbands, children no longer have their fathers, one child will never get to meet their father, two sisters no longer have their brothers and the list goes on....One incredibly bad decision by one person has impacted so many people. Johnny seemed like a true sweetheart. I didn't know anything about Matthew, but I'm sure he was as well. Just tragic all around.

Johnny Gaudreau such a kind soul and family man. One fan was saying how all the other players would leave but johnny would stay behind and sign autographs for each kid.
Unfortunately these kinds of tragedies are happening every day all around world. The wives of these pro athletes have lots of money and extended family which will paper over a lot of problems that other people in similar situations don't have.
