Personally I think the Mitsubishi Xpander and Honda BR-V should not even be considered as the Veloz 'contenders' because of the embarrassingly 2 front air bags. Unacceptable at this day and age
6:15 omg.. i love this function on passenger mpv car.. really comfort fpr long journey ( atleast for below 100k mpv la...) also got own usb to charge phone.. this really good bargain for middle and upper m40 family.. monthly u still can afford and enjoy vacation every 2 months..
Toyota is Toyota. Durability is still a question mark for the alza. Material quality etc, im pretty sure the extra 20k does much more than the eyes can see and the paper can write. Toyota Veloz gets my vote.
Agreed with you Adrian, shouldn't compare veloz to alza bcus ofc the price difference, whoever still compare veloz to alza....... Be more opened minded, at Indonesia, they even treat the 3 twin( xenia, avanza, veloz) as as a same car just different trim, veloz should compare with "higher" competitors like brv, xpander n others in the future

I like how the veloz have more features than corolla cross...... But about engine performance.... Both aren't for speed, but for my feeling, i felt veloz is less sluggish than cross ICE (but still not bad), but the real question is..... what's going to happen to rush? Heard it will get replacement

Errrrr.... I beg to differ, Adrian. This is a repeat of the Aruz vs Rush wayang..... A big price premium to be paid just for a name.... As a guy from Sabah, the ONLY advantage of the Veloz is the 30mm extra ride height as compared to the Alza. And I'm pretty sure that some workshop (probably including my own workshop) can regain the height thru some means, but certainly at a much much less cost than RM20k.
I don't like the sliding mid row because once you slide it to the front the passenger will have a hard time coming out of the car because the foot will get stuck when exiting the door opening

I think Malaysian very lucky to have all these feature compare to XPander and BRV. Daihatsu and Perodua joint venture really benefit us as consumer.

Actually still surprised UMW managed to get Veloz under RM100k.
Veloz is the most bashed in the MPV segment in the Philippines, people are more into Xpander, Stargazer and BRV.
i love the look of the veloz even my dad loves it and i seen everywhere only half unit but the best thing is there is no waiting list unlike the alza

My personal opinion, for segment A and B in SEA market lead by P2 and Daihatsu. Toyota itself focus on C segment and above
