Coming from a family that used to be trenched in the Occult until I was rescued by Christ, the fact that manifestation is taught in the church gives me such a sickened feeling in my stomach. Do they not realize that they appeal to God but are practicing and applying actual principles of magick?
Word of faith does not need a small rebuke. It needs a huge rebuke. At best, it gets sanctification wrong by insinuating that you have to give money. At worst, it misses the message on justification. Daystar and TBN have been filled with 80% of this type of terrible teaching for a long time. That is more of a disgrace than the recent scandal with Joni Lamb as bad as that may be. The real issue is that very few churches go through the Bible verse by verse let alone encourage people to do the same. Therefore, it’s hard to reason with people out of the world to God because they don’t read it in context.
