Seeing what the ship is like at a popular port is like seeing what the inside of a refrigerator looks like when the door is closed. Most cruisers never experience it and now I know how it looks like when it is almost deserted. Thanks Bram!
Watched the entire series! Loved it. I am headed to Bermuda on the Getaway 8.29 with my 2 young daughters and my nanny -- can't wait to experience it and your videos have been super helpful!

Enjoyed your tour. I had a great trip on the Getaway out of New York March 6th to the 13th 2022. Got off the Getaway on Sunday March 13th felt lousy on Monday. Did a COVID test on Tuesday it came back positive. Had to have gotten it on the ship though I dined alone ala Bram, went to none of the shows, none of the clubs, had pre dinner drinks at only the Mixx bar two times. I'm double vaccine and boosted too go figure. Still glad I did the cruise.
With the new variants there's no full proof way of cruising. But I'll take it over "no cruising". Hope you didn't have it too bad? To me it's like a lotery... Happy to hear it was still worth it nevertheless, thanks for your comment!
@@BRAMSEASTHEDAY Quite right. I kept traveling all during the past two years vaccinated or unvaccinated. Ironic I would catch it as it fades away. Feels more like a cold or mild flu to me. BTW I was in a hot tube with a fellow who was a contract worker on board Getaway whose job was to continually test the crew for COVID. He said they tested 800 crew the day before not one positive case. Good to know.
My brother and I were not positive after that cruise! I at first thought that it was that you were a bit seasick with as much rough Seas as we had that even kept us from that useless port of Norfolk in the winter time! Until you tested positive! Strange how testing prior to the cruise did not screen and catch it, but incubation period is up to 2 weeks and early stages it may not be as detectable! Get well!
@@rgruenhaus Thanks. I live a pretty solo life COVID or no COVID. Groceries delivered etc... BTW I never get seasick in fact it was a little disappointing how stable the Getaway was in those storm conditions. I was looking forward to a little more rocking and rolling. Great for sleeping. :) One thing I would normally do is use the outside Waterfront walkway when moving around the ship. But, because of the sea conditions I was forced to walk inside since they closed the Walkway. Anyway going to do another COVID test today since my symptoms seem to be finally improving after two weeks.

Hello Regina! Shows can be booked from your cabin tv. Couldn't be more simple. I never dine alone, I dine with all of you out here 😆. No problem at all, not one time did I feel like I was standing out. VIP treatment, yes.
