Its interesting watching this, there are so many times when you can tell that a character won on the basis of their popularity alone, and not because they actually fit into the category of a good bahu let alone the best bahu. Won't name names 🤣
@@asm.405 rofl yes, prerna too, shweta herself looked so surprised that she won 🤣 prerna excelled in a lot of categories, but a bahu was never one. and nandini winning thrice in a row is almost comical considering the character was in coma/jail/missing half the time. though she definitely deserved it the year she confessed that she killed aditya to save mihir. Likewise suhana i adore her, but her being a good bahu is literally an oxymoron.🤣 Especially if this is for the first year of the show.🤣

The year that prerna won, they nominated Parvati for favourite maa and saas which tulsi won so Parvati missed out on favourite bahu. She was 1000x better bahu than prerna who bangs her ex just to give her daughter "someone to play with". Nandini winning the 2nd and third year made no sense, she was actually irrelevant after the 2nd leap. They should've given it to a bahu from baa bahu aur baby in those 2 years. I only watched sasuraal genda phool way back in 09 10, so I don't remember the story anymore but for sure popularity won her the award, after all star parivaar is audience voted awards

And she, along with the show, were always given the short end of the stick. Kyunki Saas just had to get everything since it was the number one show in India, with KZK the channel or maybe Ekta herself clearly had a bias for it since they won a LOT of awards, while Kahani, despite being incredibly successful, was just forgotten and just there. Even in SPA itself, other than devar/bhabhi and a few odd award thrown in for a random character, it barely won anything. While in comparison, it was like they invented categories to award every character in Kyunki somehow.🤣And LOL exactly, Prerna was a great mother, irrespective of which child you're looking at her being a mother to, but a good bahu/wife is literally laughable. Likewise, Nandini was a good DIL, but if we're talking about Kyunki alone, Ganga was not only Tulsi's favourite DIL but the parallel lead as well and was definitely around a lot longer than Nandini. There is no reason that Nandini wins over Ganga alone, other than the fact that Gauri was more popular. Now add in every bahu on SP to a bahu that was nice yeah, but hardly their bahu, and the entire thing is just ridiculous! In comparison, like you said, the DILs in BBB deserved it much more. And Suhaana, SGP is one of my favourite shows, so I've seen it quite a lot over the years, she was different, but again not what you can call the BEST DIL. Letting the audience decide has resulted in some very very interesting results. It literally looks like a popularity contest when you look back, rather then genuine awards and from all the videos I've seen so far, this is the worst 🤣too many non-deserving people 🤣
