Holt Automatic Rifle: The Forgotten Weapon of WWI

During World War I, Canadian engineer Joseph Holt designed a self-funded automatic rifle, known as the Holt automatic rifle, to address the lack of weapons and equipment in the Canadian military. Despite successful testing and positive feedback, the rifle was never mass-produced or put into service due to Holt's lack of connections and corrupt bureaucratic institutions.
