Mr. Pestrichelli is always worth listening too. His answers to your questions, along with your own color commentary, about Direxion were most illuminating. Thanks!
Very interesting to hear his perspective on leverage, never really thought about it that way. Total return on SPYT looks to be locked in with S&P, might be my favourite Defiance ETF to date, I just need a longer time frame before throwing my money in on this one.
Jay Pestrichelli is always impressive. It was really helpful to hear his answer to your question about Direxion. Thanks for another insightful interview.
Thanks, Adriano, Jay is excellent and doesn't mind answering any questions, even those related to competition. Your discussion is very insightful regarding IVV and the call spread, which helped me understand the dynamics of SPYT and the source of the 20% yield.
Thanks Adriano! Great video. I’m a huge fan of SPYT and hope Defiance decides to roll out QQQT and IWMT. If I recall they were monitoring inflows to SPYT looking to exceed 40+ million $ in aum as that seemed to be a profitability milestone to hit before moving forward. I think SPYT is still a little under 15 million $ aum so are you hearing anything more or different?
I really like the new weeklies especially QDTE for high and quick compounding! I know it’s a nightmare in accounting but hopefully Jay will come out with some competition in the weekly space. I am fast adding to QDTE constantly!
Do they sell ivv every day or hold on forever? Something feels wrong You could confirm several losses from the call spread when market is up, but never benefit from the appreciation if you never sell before market falls suddenly, can you make enough cap appreciation to compensate for the loss on the call spread being fully breached? Hard to visualize
I think the SPYT fund will hold IVV forever and tactically selects which stocks in the IVV to sell options if that stock shows good time to sell. Similar to the way ULTY in YieldMax does but SPYT is less risky than ULTY because these stocks don't have very high IV like ULTY stocks therefore it captures less dividend to capture more appreciation.
@@PassiveIncomeInvesting I strimline my portfolio to 15 etf and more than 50% of them are leveraged fund! When there is a drop in the market, it hits my nerves a little bit, but I know how much I can afford to loose by calculating the VaR and CVaR on it and know that I will catch up so in a sense leverage is good to me also. 😁
Great 3rd part of this interview! Always a good time listening at Jay! For the leverage part, I think he’s hesitant because his funds writes CC on 100% (or close to) of the underlying vs in Canada, the ETF are covering only 25-50% of their underlying. No daily and maybe not much weekly option trading in Canadian leveraged ETF. Maybe the YM and Defiance strategies would be more exposed to downside vs our Canadian providers.
Thank you Adriano. Could you please share the full video as in the past, even if additionally to the edited shorted videos? It's frustrating to wait and also we missed the context to your portfolio change to your retirement accounts. Thank you

Jay could not finish what he was trying to say.

Great to hear!
Bought 100 shares today. 🎉 We will see how it goes. Thanks again, Adriano!
I have some SPYT in my traditional IRA. Thank you 👍
I like SPYT best of all the Defiance ETFs. Share price has been stable and nice 20 percent div. What more could you ask for?
I bought more JEPY recently for the cash flow to invest in SPYT. Long term SPYT will be a superior investment.
So let me get this right as the price flgoes up the dividend goes up also 20% is 20% correct ?
I use jepy, IWMY and qqqy as a feeder stream for fepi , spyt , dfn and hyld.
And every month I rotate through
@@boostedwrxscoobynot necessarily. This is a new fund so time will tell. They are aiming for 20 percent annually and a more stable share price.
interesting video. what would be good to pair with SPYT if you wanted a bit more cushion and down side protection to the downside?
IVVW can work

the way SPYT is going , i strongly suspect QQQT will be out soon. its growing fairly quickly for a niche ETF
Thanks Adriano! SPYT seems like a good one to add
I think i am all in with SPYT
SP500 how can you go wrong?

Adriano, are you going to, or have you added SPYT to your portfolio?

they hold IVV forever, its the daily credit spread that they do daily
Leverage is NEVER a good idea. I'm long SPYT. Its my second choice after QDPL. I also like SPYI and own it.
Is DFN safe?
Hi, extremely usefull video. Great picture of the leverage etf. 😁
Glad it was helpful! but this is one thing Jay and I disagree on. I love leveraged funds!

Spyt is something I'd invest in, more total return for the long run for my RRSP is fit more my individual needs. Appreciate the insights from Jay

its the opposite if you are writing more: less exposed to downside, but capturing less upside
Great interview, thanks Adriano!
Adrian, any idea why KLIP and YYY aren't paying dividends this month?
Where did you hear this? I’m in both
says who?
@@kevinrca I checked Dividendhistory website but apparently its not correct.
Great video! 👍…
I thought this was the real spy ETF’s by State street but it’s not. I invest in SPYD which is State Street in my RSP.
SPY, IVV, VOO , same thing really
Yeah 20% sounds great, but it probably will perform similar to the S&P 500. So there will be some nav drag and falling distributions over time...
similar ? that's great news!
Already at 13% div yield
Thank you Adriano.

sorry, i dont understand the question? the new Portfolio video is out
I have lots of leveraged ETFs but now that I’m retired I’m thinking that new purchases will be the non leveraged version of my ETFs
Why is that? More upside potential?
Less downside I am assuming.
Dude just use leverage if you want it so bad
nah , i don't like being a slave in any way shape or form. ill let them handle that
It is good that the fund holds IVV instead of SPY, it is the same asset but with less expense ratio.
yup, same thing
JEPY - issue i see is the erosion of the NAV, I would not touch it.
Nav erosion is a myth
Tha know you. Can you briefly explain why NAV erosion is a myth or link to a video in that? Thank you
First
Dude you rock
