How much is the income impacted during down markets? There's one coming at some point. I assume it's only the premiums that would be the income so not sure that we be much money. Wish he would do a video of bear markets and show some historical data on how covered calls performed for different funds.
@@jchaudhry4456 Going to go up until the end of time, lol. The market will be so fantastic under Trump it will never go down again in the history of the world
The example with Tesla made a great point, but doesn’t writing covered calls on individual stocks feel risky compared to broad indexes like the S&P 500?
The difference is, a stock most likely will move much faster compared to an index. Can move higher or lower. After you sold a covered call on a stock and the stock tanks. And you really want just get out and accept the stock loss. Then you also have to buy back the covered call also at a loss.
21:39 Thank you so much for this ETF101, Adriano! By the way, is there a Canadian covered call ETF that combines energy and utility stocks with a good yield? Please advise. Thanks!
Why didn't you tell everyone that an option is always in blocks of 100 shares ? I love my covered call etfs because I can't do calls in my rrsp or tfsa . It's nice to get those monthly dividends so I can enjoy retirement ❤ . Thanks for talking about these etfs.
Just be aware: Premium cushions if your stock drops, only if you hold the call option to expiry. If you want to get out of your stock, say it drops soooo much, you need to buy back your call first, at a (big) loss.
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 355K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks will be appreciated
As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience.
