I have an LED bulb for the DRLs and my Fogs are plug and play super bright LEDs that replace the halogens. 2012 G37xS Coupe (Red) . I replaced a bad ballast on the passenger side with one from EBAY. My dealer's hourly rate is competitive with local garages and I had them install the ballast. The OSRAMs are brighter than most LEDs and are among the very best bulbs tested.
Would this kit work on 2007 G35 Coupe as well? Looking to get a bulb upgrade before installing my new spec-d sequential headlights
If the car uses D2s which I believe it does you should be good to go

So with the g37 hid projector, did the LED lighting perform as good if not better than the HID set up? I have an 07 STi with HID bulbs and projectors and have heard that LED lights don’t project like the HID bulb would.
The most important thing is getting the beam set up correctly. The LED’s we installed had a diode on each side of a blade. We installed them with the blade section vertical, and the LED’s on the left and right, and the output was great. However, if you install them in a different direction the light output is definitely not as good.
they have new kits that uses the ballast connector, not sure how well they'll perform but im thinking of giving it a try

The bulbs on your Amazon link plug into the ballast. Do you know if the changed up the design?
Yeah it looks like they changed it to make the install easier. The new design seems to plug directly into the igniter wire. While we haven't used this one it looks like it could work well. My only concern is if the ballast for the oem hid unit is burnt out, then the system may still not function properly. But it's worth a try!

I bought new HID HEADLIGHTS for my 2021 Dodge Charger SXT. The daytime lights and signals work perfectly fine but the Bulbs do not turn on. I am not sure if the ballasts itself doesn’t work or if both bulbs does not as well. What’s the best solution to know which LED conversion I need ?
Would the LED conversion you guys used be recommended or a different conversion where I have to splice cables to bypass the ballast ?
@@stylo4595 since we did this video it looks like most led companies have switched to a more plug and play set up where you connect the led harness to the ballast and pop the bulb into the housing
The kit we used in this video specifically would work but I would just look up your bulb code and see what led conversion kits are available

Do you have to plug it in after the ballast or bypass the ballast?
These LED’s in particular bypassed the ballast.

You can get brighter LED’s than the stock hid’s. The biggest plus to moving to led headlights, is that it’s significantly cheaper than replacing HID parts.
Is your G a stock 35w D2S bulb? I have a 08 G37, listed as 35w HID bulb (high & low beam)
Just wondering if switching from high to low beam looks different, or the 35w change to 75w LED washes out the beam pattern or color?

I actually am still running my OEM HID on the driver's side and the only noticeable difference is a small split if you're looking directly at the bulb. The projection, pattern, and transition to high beam are all identical.
My only real gripe is that when the headlights are set to an on position and you turn the car on, you'll see the headlights flicker with the starter. HID bulbs have a tendency to drop and then pulse on, which just looks cleaner. Otherwise the LEDs have been great!

V36 is 2007 g35 sedan up to the 2009 G37 same exact body different engine and trans.
The link u have is the led light bulbs, they come with the conversion kit already? I got some led rgb light bulbs for my g37 but it didn’t come with a conversion kit 😭
They did come with the harness yes 🤙

Yes we’re still using them, they’re holding up great. I don’t know of another place that sells this exact set up, you might want to try hidkitpros if these are consistently out of stock. 🤙
Lasfit has very bright lights I've used there light for interior turn signals reverse lights many more and they have the led conversion kit for this as well
the link in your bio is for the wrong ones. They look completely different. 🤦🏽♂️
They revised their design to plug directly into the igniter instead of bypassing it. It’s theoretically simpler but I don’t know if it still works if the ballast has failed. We haven’t tried this version but it seems to be the design that everyone is moving to so it’s worth a shot. No drilling the bulb access cover, much more plug and play
