2k10 is still my favorite nba game of all time, followed by nba live 2003, these two are genius (2k10 my player was perfectttt, i hate playing it on 11,12 and 13)
@Wadepark98 You can get a goaltend if the ball is ruled to be within the cylinders. Your player dribbles to avoid getting stolen. You don't have to set a complete charge stance to get a call in real life. I've never had shaq hit 15 in the game. You can go straight up and lay it in when you're in the paint. Getting hacked while going up do get called.
2k10's awesome, but change chauncey and lebron's jumpshot. also make a home/away sleeve so it doesnt look weird wearing a white sleeve in a black jersey

The movements and style of each player, the dunks, dribbling, crossovers, layups, announcers, the crowd, foul shot's, I can go on and on but say what you want but hands down it's the best basketball game out there and probably ever.
For those of you who want this on PC! this game is great. using my logitech controller is simple and My Player Mode is great when you get the hang of it. First five hours took me sometime to figure it out, but after that, ya get the hang of it (never had a basketball game before) My player is now starting for the cavs in place of anthony parker, so luck that im not against lebron.
Same here. Don't know which one to buy, but this year I think I'm going with 2K10. NBA Live 10 changed their game controls so it's exactly like 2k10 so, since they want to do that... I'll just buy 2K10 since I'll be getting the same but hopefully better graphics
This has nothing to do with the actual game play but I would like to see them portray the crowd more authentically. Example I live in Phoenix and am a suns fan but when I go to a Suns Lakers Game about 1/3 the crowd is a Lakers fan I think that would be cool to add something similar to that

i think graphic wise, 2k has it down pat. but for the next game i think they need to focus on heaps more variety with their commentary lines. and also obviously the tweaking of the various modes.

I was showing some interest in Live but then I heard that the stats were off after reading a thread on OperationSports. Lebron averaging 21 ppg, 31 mpg? Deron Williams the league's leading scorer while only averaging 3 apg? Those among other grievances with the Dynasty mode have completely broken the deal for me...
yes i said it live 10 has a much more realistic gameplay i can't count up all the times that i see the ball going right through people on 2k10. There are wayy too many glitches in this game. you will find many players double dribbling and traveling in this game. I like how the play calling works but i don't use it anymore. If your wondering why it's because it drains the shot clock. you can't even run a few sets before violating the 24 second shot clock rule.
This year, in my opinion, Live has improved BIG time, I'd give them that, but to me, 2k10 is a bit more realistic gameplay wise. I love all the features and neat things you can do on Live, but from playing Live 09, it was ridiculous from the shots players could make. I enjoy missing some like in real life.

NBA Live has a much more realistic crowd. In 2k the crowd only gets excited when somebody makes a shot. The rest of the time the crowd is silent. NBA Live also looks more realistic. The jerseys on the players in 2k look really retarted and it makes the players look really bulky and fat. 2k is ok but i would highly recommend Live 10

People say live improved from last year, I don't really see it, but if it was true it was due to game designer, Mike Wang, former 2k worker. But now it seems Wang left EA and is back on 2K.
i'm tired of missin fast break layups also i can't stand when the game is on the line and all one of my teammates need to do is lay it up but instead they pass back to someone for a 3 thats not needed and we lose.
Gotta disagree, I loved 2K12 but there were so many issues with the gameplay. First of all the passing was just awful. Team A.I was pretty bad sometimes too, big men often hang out at the 3, while 3 point shooters cut right into defenders when you start passing. The greatest teams mode was pretty sweet and a great selection, but I wish it wasn't just a simple game. Also it was way to easy to intercept passes and cause turnovers in the key. I feel 2K13 was a large improvement with the dribbling.
yeah 2K is better than live still, but I feel they're just adding useless things into 2K so the game isn't the same every year, even though 2K9 was awesome, they should've just focused on player animations and player modeals and stuff like that
#1, IGN sucks at basketball reviews. #2, They got chastized b/c your not sopposed to let your man score, let alone your opposing team score. they let the defender blow right by them. #3, Post play is sooo much better than last year, and its sopposed to be slow in the paint. its bigger and heavier guys
this game rocks the my player mode gets irritating but if u love the sport u will love the my player mode and they should make the my player mode better im really looking forward to the 2k11 and a better my player mode only thing bad about this game according to me is the blocks dont look good at all and blocks have no sound effects nba live has crazy looking blocks where u can literally humiliate some one with a block
I have a question. I have this for 360 and have created players and placed them on a team. They appear in "Manage Roster," but when I go into quick match they don't show up on the roster. Any suggestions?

The only problem I have heard from other owners of this game are that the online lags for the 360 not so much for the PS3

2k games are great , all of em .. but they were all underrated ... but for this one, live 10 beat em hard this year with the photorealistic thing

I think it was getting close though. 2k9 was a down year and before the patch 2k10 was spotty. 2k10 is really cooking with the patch.
2K is going to have updates fixing these glitches and such. It came out 6 days ago, what more do you expect?
