Nice to see you out DOING SOMETHING. Another Ohio person here. Maine is Beautiful. We use to go up to Cherryfield Me. for Blueberry raking for about 15yrs. Be careful with the logging. A Pennsylvania TH-camr Logger just recently got seriously injured.
In Central Maine that year, we had like 25 days in late May, into mid June, where it rained everyday all day, the farmers were hating life!!! Me as a Builder/ Logger, they were late to unpost the roads, so I couldn’t get any Concrete down to build on, no ground work could be done, everyone was hurting!!! A bunch of friends couldn’t even get any Green “recreational/past time” growing in, everyone planted close to water and watched a lot of HARDWORK float down the river, when they went out to check up on the “Ladies”, they found them washed away!!! I know I don’t need to tell yah, like many things in Maine, it’s either feast or famine!!! Maine can be challenging, but I wouldn’t give up a Maine Summer for just about anything!!! But the older I get, the longer winter seems to last!!! Summers it’s Busy season for a builder, Winter it’s Grind season on Logging, But you have a solution for those in between times, the sawmill or getting the greenhouse all set for planting season!!! One thing about Maine, you need more than one Hustle!!! That’s the hardest trick to learn, and like everything else we seem to have to learn it the hard way!!!
Darn good videos pilgrim!!! I just found you recently glad I did!! I'm a logger from Massachusetts I would have to say it's the best job in the world!! Stay safe
I am looking forward to the raised bed build as well, going tomorrow to pick up the steel and ill try to get a part 1 build video up this weekend. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, last spring was horrible. It seemed like it just went from winter to summer basically. Fairly wet summer too. Had to be careful haying in certain fields that held a lot of water.
Glad to see young folks like you farming!!! This country needs more of you
Thank you, that we do!

I like that you are putting those chokers on before you fell,
It sure does save me a lot of aggravation
I think I ran that skidder once lol. Looks like some nice pine
Oh Im sure your right! Hope you've found some dry ground to cut on your side of town

I haven’t cut a stick since we finished up on 7 I’ve been really busy in the shop tho. Supposed to get back in the woods in a week or so
Weather is messing everything up this year. I'm way behind on where I wanted to be.
Well maybe we will have a warm fall and make up for this slow start...wishful thinking haha
@@mccormickfamilyfarm5511 Haha. That would be great. Maybe winter won't start till January. That would help.
Did you hunt a turkey eventually?
No we never made it back out, we want to try one more time before the season ends!
What does farming have to do with logging, logging pine.
Slow, uninteresting, too much repetition,, too much explanation. Can the go pro, every time you move your head the camera moves. HUH????
