That takes me back to when I was the camp Ranger for the Girl Scouts in Michigan. I plowed the camp roads and parking lots with a tractor just like that. Snow piles around the parking lots got so high I had trouble finding places to put the snow. Gotta love lake effect snow
Michigan gets some heavy snows for sure ... I had a plowing job at a ski area at one point: they actually had a snow melting box of all things as the piles were too big to manage
@@metaspencer I could handle Michigan snow because I come from just east of Buffalo NY. But the deepest snow I've ever seen was on Mt Bachelor outside bend Oregon. They had 47 feet of snow by March and it was still falling. The ski resort stayed open until July
I'm glad it's you and not me doing this. My solution to the 6" of snow we had at the end of the year was to take a month long cruise through the Panama Canal. The snow was gone when we returned. No shoveling that way!
I’ll take that snow over the 1/2” of ice we got here in NH. Lots of trees and limbs down. You gotta love your heated cab on days like today. 😀. Did you say Melissa was taking care of the Porsche? Kidding Spencer. Keep the videos coming!!
Gotta love the older Fords. I have the 1963 Ford 4000 light industrial with front end loader along with the rear wheel weights. Getting ready to throw a Sherman over/under on it
Sometimes you get more done with the bucket than you would ever with blade We got a new bucket for the skidloader 96 inches wide 3 times the bucket over the old one
I always seem to enjoy your videos brother. And I'm glad to see the ground crew made a showing. 😉 That gal is a really hard worker (unusual nowadays). Oh, by the way, just because it's from the 60's doesn't mean it's ready to be put out in the pasture, ain't sayin', I'm just sayin'. Thanks for the video, take care and may Father YHVH bless y'all.
That is not another port you can use for a grapple. That means your boom is powered up and gravity down. There is no boom down pressure, I would replace those boom cylinders from one port to two port, meaning ports on both ends so you have down pressure. If want a grapple, you'll need to replace the two spool valve with a three spool. They're not that expensive and it's easy to do. With two-wheel-drive chains are very beneficial. Make sure the chain type you choose stays out across the lugs. If they fall into them, they're doing nothing.
Ummm...yeah...hard nope on the snow. Glad the ole Ford fired up easy for ya... my two old Ferguson tractors struggle even in 30 degree temps...but they get the job done!
@@metaspencer I'll tell ya...the 35 Diesel Deluxe from the '50's got an engine rebuild about 10 years ago...and she does a lot better now. The 240 from 1983 is due for one again (last rebuild circa 1998)...but as you're well aware...too many projects, not enough time! If it was that cold I'd need to be plugged in too!🤣
I've had a few other Fords, all have found new homes. So the 1967 dumper went to a nice dude who has a vintage tractor collection he wants to haul around to shows (had to sell that one to move out of the midwest). 1997 F250 went to a kid with a dream that was bigger than the rust. I still miss 'em! gotta get anther Ford
WOW LOT'S OF SNOW!! Always Loved plowing snow! It's been cold here in Florida but no snow yet! Love watching all your video's!!!
Florida sure sounds good from these frosty lands! :)
You are an old soul my friend. The old hard ways don’t scare you a bit, in fact, I think you prefer it that way.
Nodding my head to that … absolutely man. Take care

Now that's a REAL solution. We've been talking about finding a beach down south, but so far it's only talk
@@metaspencer Yes, the snorkeling was great, warm sun, nice transits of the canal. Definitely beats shoveling or plowing snow.

Oooo, I read about that ice! Tough on the trees for sure. My tractor cabs are all nicely heated in the summertime :)
Oh my! This old tractor was born the same year as me 😲😁
Still going strong like the day it was made :)
@@metaspencer I meant "old" 😁
That looks cold dude! burn wood and keep warm Spence!
Absolutely!
I'm definitely looking forward to spring and no snow and warmer temperatures. We had record cold and record snow this winter 🤣
Oh it will be nice! Can't wait
Nice plow job!
You are the shovel master!
Nice work
Thanks buddy
Got 10 inches in Urbana!
Woot! Been a while since that much piled up :)

That sounds like a great tractor! Yeah, mine keep runnin' and workin' ... recently got a newer 1970 diesel Ford and it's a beast with the brush hog
Yep! Would be tempted to 'inspect' the condition of the brush hog.😁
Thanks!👍
Pretty much see through with rust … may need some patches come spring
@@metaspencer Snowblower brushhog!
Thanks!👍
Chains would definitely be a plus! Still faster than my snow blower :-)
Snow blower! I've used a few over the years and always liked them ... nice clean cuts in deep stuff
@@metaspencer Yes, nice uniform sides but much slower than a tractor. Your dogs look very happy running around in the snow!
Thanks for the video!

Oh that sounds like a great bucket! I'm on the hunt for a good skid steer. Great machines
Good video ⛄️⛄️
Thanks for the visit

Tons of tips! Thanks man. I have another machine with a grapple now, but definitely need to make those chains. Big thanks
We only had a tiny amount of snow
Well at least you got some ... we're sill buried! :)
Yepp, need some chains. That will be good. If you have chains on the front tires too, you may have some turning as you plow :-)
good point man ... absolutely
Wonder if you could rig up the canopy off a rider on it stay warm
Sounds like a great idea! Or a sleeping bag :)
@@metaspencer haha whatever floats your boat i spose
Ummm...yeah...hard nope on the snow. Glad the ole Ford fired up easy for ya... my two old Ferguson tractors struggle even in 30 degree temps...but they get the job done!
Two Fergusons! I have to plug my other Ford in but not this one, for whatever reason

As for Ford tractors, still have two: 1963 and 1967 ... 67 needs a starter
@@metaspencer ah okay gotcha. I have a ‘60 641 work master and love it for mowing around fields.
😀👍

Get another container box a roof between them a cheap shelter
My plan is pretty similar ... just gotta wait 'til spring
