Evil ryu the demonic version of Ryu is a what if character basically used to show us that it ryu was to Give up his humanity(His soul) and submit to Satsui No hado permanently he becomes a demon like Akuma(Gouki) following a path of searching the world to challenge stronger opponents and killing them. Ryu's path in the main canon storyline of street fighter he's has him following Gouken's path of Mastering Mu no ken(power of Nothingness)and adopting a peaceful way of the Ansatsuken. Ryu is the New gouken and akuma based on whatever path he chooses
Despite being an accomplished businessman and martial artists, I never really thought of Ken as the thinking type in particular. But it makes sense. He got this far somehow.
I enjoy these cutscenes. It shows us that each fighter, in their own ways, is willing to teach the player how to fight. No matter your age, gender, or culture, if you are skilled in one thing, and willing to teach, you are indeed a master. I see the calling cards of each character is drawn by their portrait style and their titles in their native language. Really drives them as authentic warriors.
You forgot to add appearance. No matter your age, gender, culture, or APPEARANCE. We are gonna see a whole lotta abominations running around, and these masters don’t discriminate.
The "player character" gives me the impression of an up-and-coming MMA fighter, learning a variety of styles and using what works for him. MMA fighters might actually learn an established fighting style such as boxing, judo, and kickboxing for about a year before moving on to another, with the goal of developing personal yet versatile combat techniques.
Honestly that's the kinda look I usually give to mine whenever I make a custom character, just make them look like an up n coming MMA fighter, it would make sense in the SF Universe

Gai Tendo from SNK's Buruki One, Mila from Dead or Alive and Vanessa Lewis (Vale Tudo) from Virtua Fighter as some of them and could easily be inserted in SF6. Kyle Travers from Final Fight Streetwise would also be an interesting PC, since he could be played in SF6 as an alternate universe version of the Kyle who starred in Streetwise. His fighting style is basically self-taught brawling with techniques picked up here and there.
I think everyone is canonically your teacher in world tour. Many of the characters comment how you go all over the world learning from multiple teachers of multiple styles to learn strength.
They done the characters so well in sf6😭 they all feel so unique. I’m not a fan of custom characters in stories but in this case it works cause it shows us how an ordinary person would view these incredible fighters and how skilled they are in their individual fighting styles 😭
the ordinary person part is amazing tbh. not only it relates to us, but also funny. like how the player fails to mimic dhalsim's yoga routine or not flexible enough to do chun's standing split
Cammy's approach was my favorite. In actual sense she adopts the idea of working smart, not hard. Hence her style concentrates on speed and focus, not force!!
What I really like is how Capcom's finally telling the SF story in a straight line instead of doing that "this 17th SF game takes place right between Sf Alpha and Sf2" crap. LINEAR progression, FINALLY!!

I love about all of the characters is they all have grown as people. They're not mystical and legendary warlords, they just all are good and persistent at what they do. I am well aware of that. I am also aware that he is desperately trying to get Ryu under his wing (emphasis on DESPERATELY). And judging by how he fights and talks in previous games? Yeah, I don't think Akuma's gonna take a new pupil any time soon. Even if he did, who in their right mind would want to learn from a guy who knows how to give you a thousand deaths? (Oh wait, I take that back. There's definitely dudes who want to be taught by crazies such as the old money launderer and the one-eyed creep of all people. What could possibly go wrong?)
E. Honda is possibly my favourite out of all these. He could've obliterated his opponent at any time, but chose to deliberately open himself up to attack to push his opponent to be better, showing but a taste of what he could become. Pushing a Sumo a few inches is no easy task for a novice, so I'm proud of MC for the effort.

Yeah, the style has a lot of fluid and complex movements, allowing for relaxed movements, and the ability to hit somebody with an attack that they otherwise wouldn't expect Something that wouldn't be possible if you were literally drunk

Capcom has been doing this for all their recent games either making drastic changes or outright omitting them all for the women in there titles. Ada does NOT have her heels and tango dress outfit (RE4Remake), Chun-Li doesnt have her world famous dress, hair buns and long boots, Cammy doesnt have her military acrobat leotard thing. You can even look at the RE-REMAKE series.. not one woman of that great cast has their first design of dress honored correctly. So just what the fk is going on??

Well Ryu been trying for years and expanding his techniques Manon is pretty young so are the others, except for Ken who is on the run, cammy is an assain so she wouldn't really be interested in teaching people, chun li might actually a good master, zangief let's be honest it's all about muscles, jp is like the new bison, and finally Guile is pretty much retired so makes since he wouldn't be a good master that much.
A master is more than how they look, or how old they are. A master is defined by how skilled they are on something, and their willingness to teach you said skills. Everyone in this game is willing and eager to train you, and you are taken under their wing. Is it not the essence of Masterhood? A giddy Native Mexican girl teaching you wind mastery is no different to an Indian sage passing ancient wisdom to wandering souls.

To be completely honest, Akuma is the last person I expect to be a teacher. He'd rather make amends with Ryu than to teach us the Demon's Path.

Well Ryu been trying for years and expanding his techniques Manon is pretty young so are the others, except for Ken who is on the run, cammy is an assain so she wouldn't really be interested in teaching people, chun li might actually a good master, zangief let's be honest it's all about muscles, jp is like the new bison, and finally Guile is pretty much retired so makes since he wouldn't be a good master that much.
