      The Majority of children that goes through this are from single parents that are broken and never gotten any help. But i am so glad that time has change to where help is out here for broken children and single parents too. Sometimes children don't understand but what they saw in the eyes of a child its truth but its always more to the story. And trust me i felt and feel this young man's pain even through the parties that are involved are no longer here. And i fight on a daily bases not to hate but when ever i hear or see something it triggers something in me. And believe you me its hard to forgive someone that willfully damaged you because the had PRIDE.

    Our sons are NOT our boyfriends, the man of our homes, or our therapists. We have to show our accountability for our dysfunctional actions ! We also owe ourselves healing from trauma to STOP generational curses. Children are held hostage in dysfunctional household and caught in the crossfire of abuse and toxicity 🙏🏾❤️

      I personally believe he’s a liar and that he just hates his mother. She admitted the reason her kids were taken away was because of drugs and not abuse. It’s true, why wasn’t she arrested for so-called physically abusing him if the bruises were on his body for anyone to see? How he remember in detail stuff that occurred before he was six that ain’t got anything to do with him? His pain is real, definitely. But I don’t think what he’s saying is fact. If it is, it’s probably embellished. If it ain’t, his pain comes from somewhere else

    • @ThatGirl551
      @ThatGirl551 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      @@brittanisimmons5430 True. "No Contact" has become a new phenomenon especially with Millennials & Gen Zs where it has really picked up momentum. Generations past would brought up with parental abuse because they were conditioned to believe they had to as that's how society was. Typically they said the reasons for it can be traced back to childhood abuse. The most noticeable ones were Kobe Bryant who had not talked to his parents for years because of mistreatment but kind of made amends but not fully. Also football QB star Aaron Rodgers have not talked to his parents in over 10 plus years. Sometimes you have to put your own mental health 1st & do self-care. Purging toxicity out of your life is not always a bad thing.

    • @Dee52790
      @Dee52790 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@ThatGirl551this is absolute facts. I encouraged a guy I know to go no contact with his mom. Those toxic parents REALLY tarnish their children’s spirits. Just because you give someone life doesn’t mean you have the right to mistreat & abuse them. The worst part about it is (imo) men who have these types of mothers will never have healthy relationships with women. They can be really good people but that lack of nurturing in their childhood makes them resistant to feeling/accepting genuine love & nurturing from a woman. It’s heartbreaking.

    She beat him over the head. I knew it. That's where the seizures came from. The mom should have been arrested. I saw a scene like that on Law & Order as all you know those story lines are all from current events? The son had a foot fetish & the girl came to the wrong house to buy a sofa. He saw her in her high heel boots & invited her in & SA'd her & unalived her. When the mom found out it was him she bore down on his head with an iron skillet with both hands until he blacked out. When they did a brain scan they discovered he had CTE & she had been doing it for years which explained his seizures & his inability to control his urges. They then charged her with the unaliving as he finally got treatment.

    This is why I love this show so much. I feel like so many other shows within the genre at times feel like they are making fun of Black people and the pain that we face in certain situations. But with Karamo, I feel like he genuinely cares. It’s not just about entertaining the audience. It’s so much deeper than that that. He is seeing each of his guest for the hurt people that they are. He is trying to genuinely help them. It’s so refreshing to have a platform made for us by us someone who actually wants to understand us and help the black community heal.
    He knows that the mom has done some horrible things, but he took her hand so that she could receive her son’s trauma. He knows that this guy is abusive person, but he still wants to give him a chance to try to heal that so that they can break this generational curse. I cannot express how happy this show makes me.

      Point is sometimes the response to trauma is to do exactly what was done to you and repeat the cycle. It is wrong but it's also a common trauma response. It might not make sense but it happens in response to abuse. Aka Hurt people, hurt people. Which is why people like Karamo address it and try to give these people tools to heal so the cycle can stop altogether. It's just not getting anywhere to constantly talk about right and wrong. There has to be action taken towards actually eliminating abusive behaviors and their consequences.
