- This year’s The International was one of the best we’ve ever seen.
We saw rivalries unfold, we witnessed some insane plays and we also saw the TI cycle broken by a team with a rookie player.
In fact when it comes to OG’s miracle run, Machine may have said it best: “Cinderella ain’t got nothing on this.”
This is the best of TI8.

As someone who watched Dota2 since it's birth and was always biased towards TI3 because of the eL classico, I truly think TI8 right now is the best TI ever, not only it had so many good games but it had the content for everything in the DOTA world.

The TOP6 teams being a clash of OG, PSG.LGD, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, Virtus Pro and Team Secret, in a way you could say there was no underdog or new team this year.
and of course the only thing that was missing in every other TI in order to beat TI3 as the best TI ever, an epic clash of a Grand Final with ALL 5 games.
Also the God of DotA2 himself, "Icefrog" acknowledging OG's victory putting the cherry at the top.
The only thing that was lackluster there it was the All-star match, but aside from that, it will be extremely hard to top TI8.
-ZET- not to mention the community of dota 2 in japan and girl’s dota community story . They need some exposure to bring the community together
It would be perfect if OG vs EG in the grand final but East vs West with 5 intensive games, I agree this is the best TI so far.

I wouldnt say it was the comeback of merlini. This was a oneoff thing unfortunately... but its a very fitting sendoff that in merlinis last cast zeus finally obtains immortality.

OG's base defense is UB finals against LGD in game 3 was the greatest play in this whole TI. How can you not put that?
The channel tries their best to pump out Dota content, they don't have anyone that actually plays the game though. You can tell from the multiple wrong player cams (MC gets kill, but shows gh instead, etc.)
They are trying, but I hope they actually get someone that follows the scene next time to be making these videos.

The history of DOTA 2 and the TI just inspired me. Despite of the lows, DOTA 2 and the teams remained determined to remain in the top. Despite of the games that tried to go above the DOTA 2, it's community kept it alive. I'm proud, that because of esports, love between each other remains alive. It makes me happy. I'm proud that I have witnessed the beauty of esports. Thank you for everything, The Score esports.
Best thing that happened for me is when Notail gives Fly the look that he will never forget.

The number of times I thought OG were going out only for them to bring it back was incredible. You might get a game or two of luck, but not an entire series or upper bracket run! Topson honestly reminded me of OG-era Miracle. Both were/are pubstars, and Miracle when he first turned pro played like a pubstar. He was over aggressive, dived deeply and played impatiently. Topson is quite similar - I thought his inexperience showed. Plenty of flashy plays, but then plenty of very questionable decisions where he made plays he'd get away with in a pub game, but not against pros. This is nothing against his raw skill, which is extraordinary, but we haven't seen the best of Topson yet. That's still to come! Hope this OG roster stick together.

Love esports been getting into lol recently. Tried getting into dota at the same time but it’s complicated learning both. Just as an outsider though Dota 2 community seems to be unmatched by any other game.

Agreed, even lol has a pretty good community offline but solo queue is always going to be treacherous when starting out.
Oh believe me it's just as cancerous as any other online community but you can also find pretty cool people playing it. Solo queue can be cancer but playing as a team really makes a lot of fun. And it's a very rewarding game to play because you get better all the time once you managed to get around that initial brick wall that is one of the highest learning curves in gaming.

In the context of "Lakad Matatag Normalin Normalin" the Caster meant "Walk Toughly and Keep Hitting"
Thats the literal translation but the context and how lon (mski caster) used it was somehow different
With the context it means walk like a boss and not give a fuck but in a more sarcastic matter seen as how ee was charging into the whole line up of secret

It's also bcos there was drama concerning kuroky and arteezy back in secret, in which puppey said to have sided with arteezy by kicking kuroky out of team.
Since then, there hasn't been a single friendly moment between puppey and kuroky and many has speculated that they've stopped being friends until that hug shows otherwise

Kuro and Puppey are still close friends, in last year of Puppey's wedding, his close friends are there and one of them is Kuro himself. Maybe it's just all the drama after the ti5 but regardless they are still close friends.
they really deserve it imo. They cant probably won it if fly and s4 stayed in the team with the problems and drama going on. Ana and Topson really played amazing, Ana who can play POS 1(not so dominant) and 2 is a great move. Topson on the other hand as a rookie, played really well. It is hard to counter an upredictable player and can play whatever he wants. I did not expect them to win and i'm sure some of you did too. Kudos to OG and PSG.LGD for giving us one memorable TI ever. GGWP.
We know fly and s4 exit end up for greater good(in our perspective, not in their perspective because nobody know OG can win when fly and s4 left)
But it is not that simple, because they quit only few months before TI
What notail unable to recruit topson(if there is no Topson to begin with)? What if Ana not coming back? What if they unable to create the chemistry necessary in just few months?
I can understand why notail hold grudge because fly action pushed OG to the blink of destruction, OG almost lose the chance to join TI

Why is Ana's 11 million dollar dodge plays not here? That literally were the key plays in OGs quick and decisive turnaround of game 5. I mean we have s4's million dollar dream coils and and universe's 6 million dollar echo slam. Ana also deserves that 11mil dodge plays to be recognized
I saw the Ember pick up that game and I was excited, especially given how unconventional/weird OG's drafts were in the final. Ana is a monster on that hero. Could barely believe what I was seeing - the reaction speeds were extraordinary!

This year grand final probably some of the best Ti Final ever, and the best part about it is, I want both team to be the champion, cause they clearly deserve them. LGD finally get to be in Final after getting 3rd place, 4th place in the past. As for OG? Notail. Nuff said.

It was really underwhelming. You can see the crowd difference in the finals between ti8 and ti9. Maybe valve should not held ti in a heavy biased venue.
