1 year later. looking up what esper to get for Pixel. 6 out of 10 limited esper are being offered. you can 100% pull 2 of the 6 for 10k visior (not counting if u get lucky). was choosing between Syldra, Scorpion, MA-X Maniple, this video helped me understand what i should be looking for. Thanks again for the videos.
If you didnt pull already, I have to highly recommend Demon Wall, as the only Esper in the game that can get both high Light and Dark Resist on the same board! Glad this continues to be helpful!
i really like this foundational guides. i save them in a playlist and rewatch when i have questions in my head. i.e. the previous guild raid, your videos helped a lot in team building. when guildmates have questions i riderect them to your videos 😂.

I'm a day one player and one thing I've learned early on fall in line with what you, having the correct Esper for the correct team build makes a huge difference but resonance is also key. I'm glad you made this video, but Im sad I'm only seeing it now 😂

Yes, I noticed this in post, I'm not 100% sure what's causing it right now, but I have popping just watching youtube while bluestacks is open all of a sudden, which seems to be going to my mic as well, I guess I'll have to shut everything to record for the future now.

@@JB79 Ryu is the epitome of the silent protagonist. I played both 1 and 2 and found breath of fire to be pretty unique in terms of play style and aesthetic.
Great video. I'll have to rethink taking elemental defenses more seriously after your thoughts on them. I do wonder though, you never mentioned espers for their special use in battle, or if any of their special attacks are worthwhile to level. Ie Chocobo heal that Chocobo has, its definitely come in clutch before, with a large area, defensive bonuses, slight cleansing, and fair heal to boot.
For PVE, I definitely build around Esper effects, mainly the large imperil that effects the whole map. For PVP not as much, we haven't really got a unit yet that really makes summoning reliable enough to really take advantage of, at least for Auto pvp - though we've come close with Terra.
You talk about damage modifiers at 11:00 , but you didn't go deep in killers. A good esper for Alaya is Brachiosaur, since there is so many mirror matches today, ice killer and elemental resist helps a lot
I agree, it can be a nice choice, my approach here was not to really dive into each and every niche situation (I think building for element killers is more of an advanced topic) but more 'teach someone to fish' so they can take it from there.
Hey JB, been browsing youtube for Poison activation rate+10 on chaos odin... also terra... and all of her man-eater up through her UR ribbon and chaos odin with his man eater... and her evocation is it worth putting Odin at Evocation magic +20... man eater +25 and posion activation? i cant seem to figure out if this is a good mechanic.
The evocation magic nodes on most espers just increase the damage modifier when you bring out the summon - those are labeled 'increase evocation damage'. The only esper that has nodes which increase the rate at which you can achieve the summon is Valefor - that one is labeled 'increase evocation guage', that is the one that is similar to Terra's innate capabilities. Poison activation is only good for units like Yuffie or Sweetheart Ildyra (and some others) which have a chance to poison you on some of their attacks; it increases the chance to land it.
Would love to get back to some of these guides when I have time; I wish I had more of it! In the meantime feel free to ask me any questions, I'm more than happy to help!
This is a PVP focused guide, Esper Summon attacks are very valuable in PVE events like guild raids (I’ve talked about them in my guild raid guides for example) - in a PVP sense though, not much consideration, pvp summon strats at least thus far have been more of a gimmick.
This guide useless, because your basically telling new players, to go ahead level up espers. Your account already has all vision cards max out, your units max out and you don't need a plan or good team to clear map. Because the map is already clear 😂. Honestly these types of guide should focus more on players that don't have everything in the game and not whales.
Feel free to make your own new player guide covering more basic mechanics and ideas, this is not promoted as such. This is a gateway towards advanced team building and high end competitive play. As far as it being useless, interesting take, thousands are disagreeing with you at this point
@@JB79 I am just saying that this doesn't help new players or other players that don't know team build or how to clear some of the difficult content in order to stay relevant. It should also focus on the units and vc you have in other to get these espers lvl up. It should also be note that when comes to team building, it should be first character build. On units like MR or SR that new players should have.
I understand your point, but just because this doesn’t fit the niche of content your interested doesn’t make it useless or invaluable. I’m filling a specific void of content for this game that doesn’t exist elsewhere. Explaining basic mechanics isn’t what interests or motivates me, there are other creators that fill that niche already. The content I enjoy making is helping the casual player who knows the basics to find the information to play at the top end of the game.
