I can sympathize with the way you winced as you confessed you paid retail (shock, horror!) for the Angelique Noire:) I actually cannot afford to pay retail, but Guerlain is one that I am willing to pay more than my set limit. For example, I just picked up Encens Mythique on sale for $114, which is a little more than I generally pay. But just remember that old tag line from the L'Oreal hair color campaign where the spokeswoman was willing to pay more for L'Oreal: "Because I'm Worth it."

Hey Veronica, I had the very same reaction that you had to Vanilla Milk, with Commodity's Milk+ (Bold.) The first spray was a little overwhelming, extremely woody and too masculine leaning for me. I'm so glad I didn't scrub it because I really thought about it. After a short time it evolved into a beautifully creamy, woody sweet scent with a lactonic note that was not rubbing me the right way. It was good but I wasn't convinced. I wore it again a few days later and got several compliments, even though I wasn't wearing very much of it. On the 3rd wear I was in love. I had let it sit for about 2 weeks and decided to give it another try and it was beautiful, woody, sweet, marshmallows that made me feel like I was wrapped in the most lovely, gourmand scent that instantly reminded me of my favorite time of year - October and November. It's Fall and Christmas time and cozy fires, thick socks, Cashmere sweaters, burning candles and drinking a hot toddy and eating gingerbread and 🍿 balls! Anyway, you get the picture. I fell in love and wondered how I didn't feel this the first couple times I smelled it. 🤷🏼♀️

So awesome that you've identified the note that works well with your skin. That must be why the boys love tuberose on you. The ginger and laurel notes do that on my skin...body chemistry is so individual...I love knowing about at least one note that I know works on me. When I wear most florals, I like it and no one else does....they come off too strong on me and too "bright"

I don't mind it being strong so much so I wear it to work as it ups my focus and confidence levels - who cares what others near me may think 😄 I might need Cuir Ylang too, have to try it on my skin, although most Francis Kurkjian's creations work magic on my skin anyway 💥 Will be looking for sales in this coming Easter season...

Veronica, I have to tell you that even though I'll never own most of the perfumes you review (just my thrifty nature combined with life concerns that take precedence), I thoroughly enjoy your Fragrance Awards! Well, your channel in general always makes me smile. I do love The Only One, have a sample and will eventually purchase it, that or the Intense version. They're not super expensive compared to others and I do love coconut in fragrance, I have found. Hey, what about this season? Insanely warm, so many ups and downs. We literally went from 0* with 27 below windchill to 70* in a week once and this week, we're in the 70's in the day and quite cold overnight. I'm in the N. GA mountains at almost 2000 ft elevation. My peach and pear trees are already bloomed out so probably no fruit for me this season since our usual last frost date is 3rd week of April. Bummer, right? Loved the "Peg Bundy in a bottle" one, LOL. I never even watched that show, but who doesn't get the reference?! I wish they'd not do that, make a bottle that belies the gorgeous fragrance inside, but hey, it is what it is and keeps us guessing! Anyway, thanks again for a fun video! ~Cynthia
Hiiii Cynthia! 💖 Oh! I had you living in the western part of VA in the mountains for some reason, but N. GA is close enough! I'm jealous of your fruit trees (even if they don't bear fruit this year). My husband loves fruit trees and wants to plant a few on our property. We have a fig bush and a few strawberry bushes. Do those count? 😁 The Only One Intense is sooo yummy. And, to be clear, no one needs to own so many perfumes. I enjoy it as a hobby and to share variety with the audience, but in reality, a handful of treasured fragrances is all a gal ever really needs, you know? 😉😉😉

I know because I have tried repeatedly and finally gave up, ugh. I know I would love The Only One Intense, sounds perfectly scrumptious. I have stopped experimenting too much, trying to "project pan" many of mine now, but spring is around the corner and I'll be wearing the lighter, more fruity ones soon. I particularly love a salty vanilla for summer, have a few Olympea dupes that I wore last summer. I am at the tail end of the Blue Ridge Mountains-my county is called Gateway to the Blue Ridge, in fact. So, I guess that's close enough to western VA, eh?

But I've learned to let my Manceras sit for a few after the initial spray before making a final judgment. So, a few months passed, and I decided to try it again, and wow. It's a gorgeous, unique fragrance; quite alluring and addictive. The sillage this thing leaves behind almost smells like a different fragrance than what I sprayed on. If your laundry detergent doesn't come correct, this frag doesn't budge. Great monthly roundups, Veronica!!!

You look extra pretty today. You said "you have to be a floral lover" in order to love Baiser Vole. Well, I love Baiser Vole and I'm not a floral lover! I just love it so much because it smells like Stargazer lilies to me. It's a spring/summer perfume for me, though. Sadly, mine went bad after 6 years or so. And I told you Choco Violette is good! I'm not sure what my favorite fragrance was but I wore Babycat often. It was unseasonably warm and I wore a lot of frags that I would normally wear in cold, but it's Feb so I was determined to wear them, and it inspired me think I'm also going to try some of my "winter" frags in warm weather, just sprayed a little more lightly, because my "winter" ones are my favorite, anyway.
Awww too bad about the bottle going off after 6 years. 😩 Yes, Choco Violette was a lovely surprise! Woohoo! I've not sniffed Babycat but hear great reviews.

I'm glad you mentioned Clean Skin as a winter fragrance. I tend to gravitate toward my heavier scents in winter since I can't wear them in the heat, and overlook things like Clean Skin that also work so well in spring and summer. As a result I'm wearing Clean Skin today and it actually wears very well in the cooler weather! I also adore Angélique Noire and wore it yesterday. Otherwise, I've been wearing Lalique Le Parfum, Fleur de Femme (I prefer this cherry to Lost Cherry), Sandal Ruby, Montblanc Femme Individuelle, and the Iris-centric L'Heure de Nuit.

@@VeronicaSays Fleur de Femme is from La Rive -- it's been hyped on TH-cam quite a lot, and has gotten a little hard to find in the U.S., but IMO it's really good for a cheapie. What I like about it is that it has both the tart cherry and cherry almond notes.
Ah... Tokyomilk! I'm from CO and the company's in Denver, so I felt traitorous for finding the same thing you did about the particular fragrance I bought. It smelled AWESOME out of the bottle and then *poof*, it was gone. Not willing to give up, I took my bottle to the office for a safe spritz. That didn't really work for me either. I had to give it away, sadly. Your findings are helping me forgive myself! :) Your hair looks awesome, btw!!!

Hello Veronica, I can't believe the month is over all ready. Your monthly fragrance award video is a highlight for sure. I am going strong with cozy fragrances right now too. There was more snow here today and Winter weather. I finally got the nerve up to try some natural perfumery samples from TRNP (Teone Reinthal) from Australia. I was pretty curious to see how the natural essential ingredients compare to modern aroma chemicals and blends. The samples I have tried so far are very vintage smelling and the strong naturals make me think of French and Italian soaps. I think Art Nouveau and the 1920's with these fragrances. There is a signature amber that one can detect in most of the ones I have tried. I am not sure it's my style preference. The naturals are beautiful in these. They could grow on me as I try the samples more. I guess I have sampled a few things I was curious about this past month. One love for me which might be challenging for some noses was Arquiste Misfit. For me, it was an unexpected mood lifting fragrance. It was so grounding, deep, rich but made me feel peaceful the times I sampled it. I bought a bottle and am going to spray on cold days when I feel low in my mood. I also tried Indigo Smoke but it didn't grab me on the one test I have done. I want to try some of the other fragrances from Arquiste because they seem interesting and under rated. Next on my list to try from them is Architects Club and Sydney Rock Pool. My most worn fragrances were my bedtime scent(s). They were the Vanilla from Goutal called Nuit Et Confidence, Sandalsun from Hermetica or a combo of the two, with the first layered over the second. I tried to wear Guerlain Mon Guerlain Intense to bed one night and it kept me awake. The musk note was too strong for me to sleep. Musk is one of those notes that can challenge me. 😅 Before this gets too long I am going to thank you for your video! That top is fantastic! 💛 ~ Jenn

I blind bought the Mon Guerlain Intense and the Petite Robe Noir EDP and they both have a musk running through them that I don't like very much. I keep trying them hoping they may grow on me. But... So far I am not enjoying my wearing experience with them. I do like the Aqua Allegoria perfumes I have tested. I guess we can't like everything. I just need to do more sampling and less blind buying. 😅

More goodies 😍 here in NZ Feb is summer and we had multiple hurricanes and flooding. Wasn’t your usual month (or even summer, sadly). But the month in fragrance was glorious. For me it involved YSL Tuxedo and Caftan entering my collection. Along with lots of wears of Rose Barbare, Coromandel, Lancôme Magnifique, Scherzo, Estée Lauder Tender Light and Infinite Sky. Samples that we’re loved and are on my must have list include Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals, Amouage Guidance, Ella K Rose de Pushkar, Nishane Nanshe and I pulled out Soleil de Jeddah and reconfirmed I need it ❤️ Fails were Initio Addictive Vibration, This is Her, Chergui, Delina La Rosee 🤢 and Meliora 😑…. And the to test list keeps being added to😁❤️

Always look forward to the end of the month for this video. I have been "encouraged to try" a number of fragrances because of your descriptions. Okay. Maybe more than just a number. (Thanks - I think.) It coulda happened. My most worn fragrance in Feb was definitely SBoy by Draco. I got the male version. Every time I go out wearing it, someone comments. And when my male roommate sneaks it, the same thing happens to him. Definitely pricey for a celebrity fragrance (I had no idea who Draco was), so look for a discount code. Quality and longevity are both excellent. Citrus fruity, floral aromatic, and ambery, woody, musky.... somehow, it really works. And verrry sexy.

Hey Veronica, I had the very same reaction that you had to Vanilla Milk, with Commodity's Milk+ (Bold.) The first spray was a little overwhelming, extremely woody and too masculine leaning for me. I'm so glad I didn't scrub it because I really thought about it. After a short time it evolved into a beautifully creamy, woody sweet scent with a lactonic note that was not rubbing me the right way. It was good but I wasn't convinced. I wore it again a few days later and got several compliments, even though I wasn't wearing very much of it. On the 3rd wear I was in love. I had let it sit for about 2 weeks and decided to give it another try and it was beautiful, woody, sweet, marshmallows that made me feel like I was wrapped in the most lovely, gourmand scent that instantly reminded me of my favorite time of year - October and November. It's Fall and Christmas time and cozy fires, thick socks, Cashmere sweaters, burning candles and drinking a hot toddy and eating gingerbread and 🍿 balls! Anyway, you get the picture. I fell in love and wondered how I didn't feel this the first couple times I smelled it. 🤷🏼♀️

So awesome that you've identified the note that works well with your skin. That must be why the boys love tuberose on you. The ginger and laurel notes do that on my skin...body chemistry is so individual...I love knowing about at least one note that I know works on me. When I wear most florals, I like it and no one else does....they come off too strong on me and too "bright"

Veronica, I have to tell you that even though I'll never own most of the perfumes you review (just my thrifty nature combined with life concerns that take precedence), I thoroughly enjoy your Fragrance Awards! Well, your channel in general always makes me smile. I do love The Only One, have a sample and will eventually purchase it, that or the Intense version. They're not super expensive compared to others and I do love coconut in fragrance, I have found. Hey, what about this season? Insanely warm, so many ups and downs. We literally went from 0* with 27 below windchill to 70* in a week once and this week, we're in the 70's in the day and quite cold overnight. I'm in the N. GA mountains at almost 2000 ft elevation. My peach and pear trees are already bloomed out so probably no fruit for me this season since our usual last frost date is 3rd week of April. Bummer, right? Loved the "Peg Bundy in a bottle" one, LOL. I never even watched that show, but who doesn't get the reference?! I wish they'd not do that, make a bottle that belies the gorgeous fragrance inside, but hey, it is what it is and keeps us guessing! Anyway, thanks again for a fun video! ~Cynthia

My husband loves fruit trees and wants to plant a few on our property. We have a fig bush and a few strawberry bushes. Do those count? 😁 The Only One Intense is sooo yummy. And, to be clear, no one needs to own so many perfumes. I know because I have tried repeatedly and finally gave up, ugh. I know I would love The Only One Intense, sounds perfectly scrumptious. I have stopped experimenting too much, trying to "project pan" many of mine now, but spring is around the corner and I'll be wearing the lighter, more fruity ones soon. I particularly love a salty vanilla for summer, have a few Olympea dupes that I wore last summer. I am at the tail end of the Blue Ridge Mountains-my county is called Gateway to the Blue Ridge, in fact. So, I guess that's close enough to western VA, eh?

I had a very similar experience with Choco Violette. I purchased it blindly, and when I received it, I was like, absolutely not. But I've learned to let my Manceras sit for a few after the initial spray before making a final judgment. So, a few months passed, and I decided to try it again, and wow. It's a gorgeous, unique fragrance; quite alluring and addictive. The sillage this thing leaves behind almost smells like a different fragrance than what I sprayed on. If your laundry detergent doesn't come correct, this frag doesn't budge.

You said "you have to be a floral lover" in order to love Baiser Vole. Well, I love Baiser Vole and I'm not a floral lover! I just love it so much because it smells like Stargazer lilies to me. It's a spring/summer perfume for me, though. Sadly, mine went bad after 6 years or so. And I told you Choco Violette is good!
I'm not sure what my favorite fragrance was but I wore Babycat often. It was unseasonably warm and I wore a lot of frags that I would normally wear in cold, but it's Feb so I was determined to wear them, and it inspired me think I'm also going to try some of my "winter" frags in warm weather, just sprayed a little more lightly, because my "winter" ones are my favorite, anyway.

I'm glad you mentioned Clean Skin as a winter fragrance. I tend to gravitate toward my heavier scents in winter since I can't wear them in the heat, and overlook things like Clean Skin that also work so well in spring and summer. As a result I'm wearing Clean Skin today and it actually wears very well in the cooler weather! I also adore Angélique Noire and wore it yesterday. Otherwise, I've been wearing Lalique Le Parfum, Fleur de Femme (I prefer this cherry to Lost Cherry), Sandal Ruby, Montblanc Femme Individuelle, and the Iris-centric L'Heure de Nuit.

@@VeronicaSays Fleur de Femme is from La Rive -- it's been hyped on TH-cam quite a lot, and has gotten a little hard to find in the U.S., but IMO it's really good for a cheapie. What I like about it is that it has both the tart cherry and cherry almond notes.

Ah... Tokyomilk! I'm from CO and the company's in Denver, so I felt traitorous for finding the same thing you did about the particular fragrance I bought. It smelled AWESOME out of the bottle and then *poof*, it was gone. Not willing to give up, I took my bottle to the office for a safe spritz. That didn't really work for me either. I can't believe the month is over all ready. Your monthly fragrance award video is a highlight for sure.
I am going strong with cozy fragrances right now too. There was more snow here today and Winter weather.
I finally got the nerve up to try some natural perfumery samples from TRNP (Teone Reinthal) from Australia. I was pretty curious to see how the natural essential ingredients compare to modern aroma chemicals and blends. The samples I have tried so far are very vintage smelling and the strong naturals make me think of French and Italian soaps. I think Art Nouveau and the 1920's with these fragrances. There is a signature amber that one can detect in most of the ones I have tried. I am not sure it's my style preference. The naturals are beautiful in these. They could grow on me as I try the samples more.
I guess I have sampled a few things I was curious about this past month. One love for me which might be challenging for some noses was Arquiste Misfit. For me, it was an unexpected mood lifting fragrance. It was so grounding, deep, rich but made me feel peaceful the times I sampled it. I bought a bottle and am going to spray on cold days when I feel low in my mood. I also tried Indigo Smoke but it didn't grab me on the one test I have done. I want to try some of the other fragrances from Arquiste because they seem interesting and under rated. Next on my list to try from them is Architects Club and Sydney Rock Pool.
My most worn fragrances were my bedtime scent(s). They were the Vanilla from Goutal called Nuit Et Confidence, Sandalsun from Hermetica or a combo of the two, with the first layered over the second. I tried to wear Guerlain Mon Guerlain Intense to bed one night and it kept me awake. The musk note was too strong for me to sleep. Musk is one of those notes that can challenge me. 😅

I love the Arts and Materials Geurlain fragrances but I am beginning to think some of the other fragrances are not for me. I blind bought the Mon Guerlain Intense and the Petite Robe Noir EDP and they both have a musk running through them that I don't like very much. I keep trying them hoping they may grow on me. But... So far I am not enjoying my wearing experience with them. I do like the Aqua Allegoria perfumes I have tested. I guess we can't like everything. I just need to do more sampling and less blind buying. 😅
Some people are not too keen on musky fragrances (I am!). It's hard not to blind buy! 🥰🥰🥰

( almost like that weird thing that happens with vanilla milk funky at first but delicious as it settles 😊) I’m waiting for an updated coconut 🥥 video from you! More goodies 😍 here in NZ Feb is summer and we had multiple hurricanes and flooding. Wasn’t your usual month (or even summer, sadly). But the month in fragrance was glorious. For me it involved YSL Tuxedo and Caftan entering my collection. Along with lots of wears of Rose Barbare, Coromandel, Lancôme Magnifique, Scherzo, Estée Lauder Tender Light and Infinite Sky. Samples that we’re loved and are on my must have list include Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals, Amouage Guidance, Ella K Rose de Pushkar, Nishane Nanshe and I pulled out Soleil de Jeddah and reconfirmed I need it ❤️ Fails were Initio Addictive Vibration, This is Her, Chergui, Delina La Rosee 🤢 and Meliora 😑…. And the to test list keeps being added to😁❤️

Always look forward to the end of the month for this video. I have been "encouraged to try" a number of fragrances because of your descriptions. Okay. Maybe more than just a number. (Thanks - I think.) It coulda happened. My most worn fragrance in Feb was definitely SBoy by Draco. I got the male version. Every time I go out wearing it, someone comments. And when my male roommate sneaks it, the same thing happens to him. Definitely pricey for a celebrity fragrance (I had no idea who Draco was), so look for a discount code. Quality and longevity are both excellent. Citrus fruity, floral aromatic, and ambery, woody, musky.... somehow, it really works. And verrry sexy.
