    In 1979 I took Van Halen 1 into the Nun's who were teaching me piano. Me and 4 Nuns listened to Eruption. I was 13. I thanked them and told them I am going to learn guitar now. They all smiled, hugged me and gave me their blessing and told me always follow your dreams. True story. My mother was furious but Sister Mary Daniel paved my road to follow the greatest guitar player ever. Thank you Wolf. I can't thank your dad. Please thank your uncle for changing my life for the good.

      @@mikeadams2351 frankly, I’m not a fan of the WVH music, but he is definitely extremely talented. His father was not extremely talented - that would be putting it too lightly and understating the reality - his father was of a level of gift, aspiration, focus and ability that puts him way above any kind of talent…he was, I dunno even know what he was….beyond mere mortal - an otherworldly force that possessed a gift and a drive beyond articulation. Wolf can sing his ass off - which ain’t easy - and play his dads shit verbatim along with bass, drums, keys. He is not an innovator like his father was nor will he change the way rock guitar is played for the next 4.5 billion years, nor will he be a composer as good as his Dad…but that’s more than talent

      @coldwinter5710 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bobabooey4537 Wolfgang is a musical prodigy just like his Dad & Uncle. Completely self taught (outside of the constant music he was naturally exposed to at home). He sings lead, plays lead guitar, bass, keyboards & drums & writes all his own music/lyrics. Nominated for a Grammy his 1st time out, up against the likes of Grohl & McCartney. If this doesn't constitute someone being labeled as "extremely talented", I don't know what does!
      Sounds like a bit of green envy in disguise, perhaps, from these ridiculous comments.

You know Valerie glows when she sees him perform.

    • @Jaloja
      @Jaloja ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@bobabooey4537 The second generation that is set for life is most often the end of the family money. Wolfgang is working to make it. That fact alone make him above average. He can't be everything to everybody. No body is. The writing is good and so is the music. What do you expect? Valerie struggled with her weight and it looks like he inherited that. I hope he can get over that at some point. I doubt he will live as hard on the road as his dad did. A guy financially set for life has to love what he is doing. He has to feel the pressure from the expectation the name brings. He is doing what he wants to do. He could be doing nothing. I respect him for what he is doing.

    Man, just being honest here ….. I wanna hate on him because he’s had such a silver spoon life, but he’s just too nice of a person ….. he’s definitely the exception in that category !! Rock on kid, you’ve Earned it. 🎸

    I pray Wolf doesn’t die of a “widow maker” heart attack. He fits the profile and it’s the “silent killer.” Take care of yourself Wolf, diet and exercise.

    I'm struck with how young and how composed he is. I guess he learned at an early age what to do and how to cope with stressful situations from watching his parents.

    He's SO much better to listen to than his dad. Wolf isn't cocky or full of himself. Cool.

    I owe WG a huge apology. I did not give this guy a honest look before I discounted him. I hated that he replaced Michael Anthony during the "lets bring back diamond dave phase"....I always felt like MA got a raw deal. Of course it goes without saying that I had no idea the reasons..I just didn't like it and I put it on this kid.
    @ WG: sorry for that brother. You're legit af as a player and seemingly as a human...much respect. side note: I love when WG and his mom are on Sirius, it's precious.

    Would be awesome if Ed had lived long enough to see wolf's success. Would be great to see if they'd have done anything together. (Beyond vah halen)

    Wolf's wrong about one thing. He did go to college. Every day he was in Van Halen had to have taught him more than what any college classroom could have. The tunes I've heard from Mammoth so far make me think he went to the University of Good Kickass Music !
