True! Ryan Bennet is great, but to me Garret Whitlock was a better match for Tremonti's. This may sound unfair for Ryan, but I do feel like Garret added some extra flavour to Tremonti's music. I'd love to see Ryan Bennet on this channel too though, because he's a great drummer too.
How do you get out from under your legendary guitarist father’s shadow?…you kill it on every instrument. Eddie did a good job of nurturing Wolf to become his own man. Such a likable personality as well…
Agreed. With how messed up so many LA celebrity kids are and how messed up Eddie was for big chunks of wolf's childhood....Val is a good mom.

Wolfie really gives me hope for the future of rock music. He's one of the musicians who can really carry the torch, not many like him in his generation. So much originality and great writing.
Tell you what, anyone sleeping on Mammoth is making a mistake. These guys are bad ass! Saw them at Bogart’s 3/1/24. They sound incredible live! Put on a helluva a show🔥🔥🔥I’m so glad Wolf is being his own man. His father was 1,000% correct about Wolf’s talent. He is the true definition of a musician. What can’t he do? !!!!!!
Ive been wanting to see Wolf do some drumming for a while now. Wolf needs to start filming his studio sessions on his next album. People would LOVE that.....at least I would.
SO fun to see and hear Wolf play drums! And Garrett is a total badass. I just saw them live (again) a few nights ago and it was AMAZING. If folks can swing it, go see Mammoth, you won’t be disappointed.
I wish rock would be mainstream again! Growing up in the 70's and 80's was awesome! The music! The concerts! Best time of our lives with the best bands and their music as the soundtrack of our lives! Rock on!!!
THANK YOU WOLFIE! Your dad and uncle changed my life for the better. They were the soundtrack to my childhood. So glad you are continuing with such great music of your own. All the best!
This was great! I first saw Wolf play as a young teen having no idea he could play the drums. And boy can he play! He oozes talent and I look forward to whatever he puts out next.
very very impressed. not riding the coattails of his famous relatives; complete and fully rounded individual in his own right. and incredibly humble. mammoth is now on my radar 👍🏻
I was blessed to be able to see Mammoth this past November in Boston. They were absolutely phenomenal start to finish if you get the chance to go see them while they’re out on tour I wholeheartedly recommend that you do you will not be disappointed. They are that good.
Been an admirer of Garrett for many years and it's about time he started getting some exposure for the work he's done. Be nice to see the next Mammoth album with him playing the drums on the recording.
Saw them in Dallas a few months ago and they about blew the doors off the place. Wolfie seems like the coolest, most genuine person, and DAMN what a tight band 🔥
I hold Wolf in the highest regard as a musician and writer but I did NOT have him casually pulling out "Bleed" on the kit with ease on my bingo card for the day.
Garret was incredibly good at Tremonti, and felt sad that he left. But then when I discovered that he is playing with Wolf, that made me feel better, I love what they're doing. Great episode here, I could watch hours of them showing how they play stuff on drums. I want to watch them playing live in my area :)
Nice share DRUMEO, thanks! Wolf is quite an adept drummer, and Garrett is right there with him. I was shocked when he admitted to leading, being, thinking as Left handed. I always appreciate hearing the stories, back-story, or inspiration/thought behind a beat, or riff. It never gets old! Rock on....
They are a great, great show.Booyah!! With Wolfgang it is like you are at his house for a while the band is rocking out. Very cool, down to earth talent. I became a fan when when Van Halen did there first tour for their first album. Now to be a fan of Wolfie is great.
The band is the best rock band I've seen in a long time. The next Foo Fighters type stadium band. I've seen them twice last year and so good to see a REAL band playing rock with no tracks or other BS. You guys are in for a nice ride!
That's borderline unfair to have that amount of talent in a band, let alone in one person. Have seen him live once, and that's enough for me to know the band must be putting on amazing shows.
What kind of great musicians are talking about to play on songs. I‘m not a drummer nor a guitarist but it‘s great to see how they play on songs. Thank you for this great video.
I was at the Seattle show! It was cool to see a glimpse of me in the footage. It was an incredible show. I was lucky enough to come home with a set list handed to me by Frank Sidoris. I love Mammoth WVH!!!🎸❤️
That seattle show was my first time seeing Mammoth, and they were absolutely amazing. Wolf, what a great musician!! Garrett just killed it on that gorgeous DW kit! I can’t wait to see them again!
I’ve been trying to master the drums for 40 years I love these people who aren’t even drummers and just make it look like the simplest thing I’ve ever seen and then play guitar and bass on top of that. I got ripped off on DNA.
I feel such a kinship with Wolf. We’re just about the same age. I lost my dad earlier this year. He was a damn good guitarist and always played in cover bands so I grew up on classic rock but ended up being kind of a metal head. I saw Mammoth open up for Alter Bridge last year and they fucking KILLED. I actually used Distance for a video I did at my dad’s Memorial service. Both albums are just so fucking good and he’s a damn good songwriter. I loved how he said Him and his uncle would save Eddie because he couldn’t keep time well haha. To us EVH is an absolute God on guitar but to Wolf he was just Dad.
Wolf is definitely a musical genius. His songs have so much feel and punch. Not everyone can write a good song. This guy writes multiple per album. I just wish he could have came out in the 70s or the 80s. He would be a rock God.
Well constructed songs. He puts all the elements he can in his music and they have a great formula to them as well. The lyrics have a message and fit with the music. He is a good man and didnt fall into the industry like most. I wish him longevity and prosperity with anything he does. #thewolf
Great interview, Brandon! Hopefully one of these days Wolfgang will Show up at the Drumeo studio to break down his drum parts more in depth and perhaps give him a drum ( never heard ) track challenge!
Wow, something in the Van Halen genes for sure. Lets hope Wolf has some little Van Halens to carry on the family name and make more kick ass bands. 🤘 RIP King Edward.
One thing I remember about Wolf playing bass in the VH days from the bootleg dvd footage was he very much put his own stamp on it different from Mike Anthony like doing fast octave jumps on the neck on the Bass/drums intro on ‘So This is Love’….And locking in with his Dad an octave lower on the intro of ‘Chinatown’ while switching from tapping /releasing to a capo to jettison it to continue from the nut.
Wolf & Garret are great drummers! In 2005, Garrett was drumming for Submersed & I was drumming for Breaking Point. Both bands were signed to Wind-up Records & toured together. He was a beast at 20 yrs old!
Great video, they obviously have a load of respect for each other. That bridge in Epiphany is a bit of a beast to play well, sounds simple but takes a lot of concentration to nail!🤘🤘
Wolf and Garrett are beasts!🤘🏻Thanks for having us!
Garrett Whitlock is an underrated monster behind the kit. Love his work with tremonti, incredible footwork on those albums he played on!
Absolutely he’s a monster drummer
I miss him style on Tremonti.

Can't forget his mom either...

Fit into an XXL shirt.
Ive been wanting to see Wolf do some drumming for a while now. Wolf needs to start filming his studio sessions on his next album. People would LOVE that.....at least I would.
"We'd swoop in to save him" LOL. What a down to earth guy. Dad would be proud...❤✌️
SO fun to see and hear Wolf play drums! And Garrett is a total badass. I just saw them live (again) a few nights ago and it was AMAZING. If folks can swing it, go see Mammoth, you won’t be disappointed.
i love how Wolf just casually whips out Bleed
Yeah ikr, just plays it like it’s nothing haha. Got a massive kick out of that
but everyone knows bleed lol
*brappataptapbrapupupubap*
And he looked super relaxed too- almost bored haha
Is there a more talented all-around artist that exists today? He has no gaps. Love me some Wolf! I will always miss EVH forever. G.O.A.T!
Honestly! ONLY other person may be Dave Grohl, as he's been able to play all sections of the band. WVH is an absolute genius.
@@bsquinney Absolutely, great example of all around talent.
I wish rock would be mainstream again! Growing up in the 70's and 80's was awesome! The music! The concerts! Best time of our lives with the best bands and their music as the soundtrack of our lives! Rock on!!!
This kid is pure gold, I can’t stop listening to these albums! Go Wolf, amazing job!
THANK YOU WOLFIE! Your dad and uncle changed my life for the better. They were the soundtrack to my childhood. So glad you are continuing with such great music of your own. All the best!
Wolf is always such an enjoyable person to listen to in interviews. So talented, likeable and a great sense of humor.
🤣
As they should be!!!
🎸⚡️🎸👍🏻✌🏻
Ah! Thank you for touching on Optimist!! One of my favorites off of Mammoth II. I love the drums in it!! Looking forward to seeing Mammoth in May!
My favorite as well. Saw them live in December, and they did not disappoint. Enjoy!
I was blessed to be able to see Mammoth this past November in Boston. They were absolutely phenomenal start to finish if you get the chance to go see them while they’re out on tour I wholeheartedly recommend that you do you will not be disappointed. They are that good.
Great musicians and seem like really great chill people to hang with
GW was a monster on the first Tremonti solo record. Just sick.
Wow! As a father I had some tears. Happy and Sad. Edward is smiling
Been an admirer of Garrett for many years and it's about time he started getting some exposure for the work he's done. Be nice to see the next Mammoth album with him playing the drums on the recording.
I did a lesson with Garrett 10 years ago when he was still with Tremonti and it was a blast! Definitely has a great playing style!
Wolf is a monster. Incredible musician, singer & songwriter. His new album Mammoth II is a big push forward & have some amazing tracks!
The talent is immeasurable!!! Love Wolf! Can't wait to see them in Orlando this December.
I was hoping you’d have him on. Incredible musician and his albums are so well done.
Love Wolfgang and his band can’t wait for the next show
Garret was incredibly good at Tremonti, and felt sad that he left. But then when I discovered that he is playing with Wolf, that made me feel better, I love what they're doing. Great episode here, I could watch hours of them showing how they play stuff on drums.

WOLFGANG VAN HALEN Rules 🎸🎶🥁🎶🤘
That was killer, thanks guys. Wolf is a super talented and chilled out guy.
Great post. That whole group is tight. We have seen them 3 times. Lots of fun. Garrett is such a nice dude
Rock on....

Very cool I loved it thanks for having them on with Drumeo!!✌️🇺🇲
Carrying on the VH Tradition, BRAVO!
Love You WOLF!!!! Looking forward to seeing a live show!!!!
Garrett is one of my top favorite drummers. I loved him in Tremonti and he's even better in Mammoth MVH!
Wolf, you like the perfect guy to be drumming for. Your just so laid back in your approach to the band and the players in it. Take Care Now
Rock And Roll Prince! Love it!
I saw these 2 guys touring with Mark Tremonti for the all I was tour then Mammoth opened for Alter Bridge in 2022 and they are absolute monsters
Loved when Garrett jammed with Submersed. Another gem of a band from the past.
What a telent, and he is just getting started! Go Wolf.
JUST saw these guys Wednesday night at the Paramount, what an amazing freaking show they put on
Wolfie is no doubt a talent of a generation!! ⚡️🎸⚡️🎸⚡️⚡️🎸
The band is the best rock band I've seen in a long time. The next Foo Fighters type stadium band. I've seen them twice last year and so good to see a REAL band playing rock with no tracks or other BS. You guys are in for a nice ride!
THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST
Garrett is by far one of my favorite drummers. Always fun to watch live and always sounds amazing.
Garrett and Wolf such a great team! Well done fellas! 👊🥁🤘
Wolf writes incredible parts and Garrett is an absolute monster live.
Just saw them in Cincinnati! Awesome show!
That's borderline unfair to have that amount of talent in a band, let alone in one person. Have seen him live once, and that's enough for me to know the band must be putting on amazing shows.
none of this is talent its effort, if u also had the time to put in the work you could get there too
@@AnthemUnanthemed there is that. But also Wolfgang has the added genetics of amazing showmanship and musical ability 😁
Saw Mammoth last year! So cool, and I love the energy
On another LEVEL! Wow. Even if you don't like this style of music? You have to appreciate the amazing talent here. Love it!
PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE!!!
WVH is one of the most complete musician / songwriter
So cool.

The first time I heard the new album, I was blown away by the drum performance. He took it to another level. Cheers.

We love you wolf .
Keep doin you .
The future is yours to claim .
The band sounds awesome 😎
Don’t back down is my favorite track
I’ve been trying to master the drums for 40 years I love these people who aren’t even drummers and just make it look like the simplest thing I’ve ever seen and then play guitar and bass on top of that. I got ripped off on DNA.
But the be thing is he is a drummer as that was his first instrument age 9 - he’s like me a multi-instrumentalist
I feel such a kinship with Wolf. We’re just about the same age. I lost my dad earlier this year. We needed this video!
Great interview, Brandon! Hopefully one of these days Wolfgang will
Show up at the Drumeo studio to break down his drum parts more in depth and perhaps give him a drum ( never heard ) track challenge!
Him saying "Everyone knows Bleed" and then cutting to him playing it perfectly was such a great editing moment
Wolf is the future of rock 🤘🏻. Dude has a knack for writing catchy songs with killer riffs and drum parts.
Yes!!!! I love these guys!
Garrett has come along way since submersed. Such a great drummer
This was an Awesome watch!!! These 2 musicians are amazing.
It was super cool to see them live in Toronto 🇨🇦 last November with Nita Strauss….legendary!
That was just awesome ❤
Wow, something in the Van Halen genes for sure. Lets hope Wolf has some little Van Halens to carry on the family name and make more kick ass bands. 🤘 RIP King Edward.
Love them! Such talented, nice guys. I’ve honestly not watched any videos breaking down the drum parts in songs, and this was really
interesting.
Love you guys!!! See you again when you get back to MPLS MN!
This was awesome. I get blown away seeing what other drummers can do.
What a dude wolf is,can probably play every instrument, nice!!!
probably?? lol
Saw Wolf with vh at jones beach, kicked ass, luv his solo work gonna have to see him live again, viva Long Island, ny
Great interview and Big fan of his drumming and bass playing and great solo band

First, let me say I’m a guitar player, but I find your vignettes / shorts, incredibly entertaining and insightful. Keep up the great work.
When 2 Lions work together, they are unstoppable 🙏🏽🔥🇿🇦
Such creative, cool and crazy drum parts! 😮
Love this!!!
MAMMOTH!? My favorite artist , I couldn't believe my eyes
Thanks drumeo very cool video absolutely love wolf and mammoth
Seen them twice and I'm going to see them a 3rd time soon. Absolutely kiiler music
Great video, they obviously have a load of respect for each other. That bridge in Epiphany is a bit of a beast to play well, sounds simple but takes a lot of concentration to nail!🤘🤘
Can we talk about how beautiful the color is on that DW❤
Hell yeah this was fucking awesome!
Saw Wolf and The Gang at The Berlin Show Last year.a great experiance
