It's no different than a motor home. The US trucking system is so developed that you can probably find someone to work on this no matter which state you're in.
Met a guy who talked about owning one of these. He said he made really good money being on the road all the time. He also said the money was so good he was able to support his wife and her boyfriend back home and everything(sarcastically).
Yeah it’s nice but there’s no way I could get into some of the places on my routes with that. I have the shortest sleeper you can get on 2023 cascadia and it’s still tight.
For truck sake. I wish we had trucks like this in England. Admire it for what it is, 'kin awesome. That truck can still make more money than it cost to build it. Nice job America. You do it real. 🇺🇲🏴 👍
I saw one of these extended Kenworths in Chicago, as it came down the street it was bouncing up and down in the centre as the chassis flexed. Must have been interesting to steer down the highway!
Im a driver close to the end of my career. If your going to be on the road this beautiful truck would make living out there much nicer. But man taking a right turn would take a minute to relearn. And its a heavy beast
Man it would be heaven to operate in a truck like that. But I'm not sure it's very practical. Some of the spots I have to back into are twisty and tight. Kraft Foods Atlanta is no joke. No room for error. That tractor with a trailer would not fit. Truckers don't like to lose load opportunities because they often need a particular load to get them to their next pickup. BUT, if you have a dedicated route. This would be fine. Cheers
I started driving trucks on international work in 1973 running weekly from Ireland to France /Italy /Switzerland and many more places, had to be a round trip a week to make serious money , that involved a 22hour ferry crossing from Ireland to France and the same on the return leg…I think I earned my stripes , I much prefer European trucks to American , ridiculously long wheelbases needing a football field to turn , in comparison the European tractors were far more advanced and far more powerful… I started driving a truck with a 13 speed road ranger box and had that truck for 4 years, then Volvo and then Scanias, there are no trucks like a Scania with the V8 engine, the last one I had was an S650 running at 44tons or 97,000 lbs …Fully automatic and for the last 12 years of my career I drove automatic transmissions, wild horses wouldn’t have got me back to manual transmissions , so old fashioned and out of their time, I could let that Scania come down the Mountain Mont Blanc crossing from Italy into France letting this truck run at 40 mph using the engine retarder and not touching my service brakes, sorry this driver is a modernists when it comes to serious truck driving…

I had a freightliner cascadia that had double bunks. A inverter a microwave an electric skillet a coffee maker and a fridge. That truck had everything I needed and I only paid 16000 Canadian for it. Drove it for a good while then sold it.
You've been very lucky to get a truck for 16000. In US for $16,000 you can get "mechanical special" which most likely won't be good for a "good while" before you want to get rid of it.
@@InterUnetAutomotive I know what you mean. I did have to do a full suspension bushing replace and alignment and cab mounts. Other than that it was a very lucky find.
Gorgeous truck and sleeping/living quarters! However, it reminds me of the old song "Give me 40 acres adn I'll turn this rig around." That is a LONG setup. Add a trailer to the setup and you have a really long setup.
Far cry from the 76 w900 my dad used to drive! We used to call those big bunks " playpens"! We had a mack with a big bunk that got nicknamed " hotel mack"!
We call those super sized sleepers CONDOs. It has been my experience when I see one of those in the truckstop it always belongs to a husband & wife team. A woman needs more than truckstop showers & sleeping in a sleeper. Those condos are a regular home w shower, kitchen, desk, tv watching area, queen or king bed, utility power system providing power-heat-hot water-ac-charges the truck batteries. Its living large. !
This woman sleeps in a regular ol' sleeper, but I'd be lying if I said I am not drooling over this truck!! I've only been trucking a little over a year but I daydream about hauling custom critical or the like so I can get myself in a "condo." The filth of truck stops gets pretty old after a while and the idea of my own little shower, it would make trucking MUCH lower stress for me!!😅But jeez, the turning radius and the fuel cost ... this baby is for a lifer who loves the road and must have some solid, dedicated business going. Sounds pretty cool to me!!
I drove rigs for decades, that's a beauty. But as far as multiple deliveries I always preferred my international cabover, with a 53' trailer, I'd put that thing in your driveway first shot, lol, but over the road you can't match that beautiful truck.
If I had this truck, I'd haul loads while also hosting a airbnb
Hahaaaaa. Good One!
This gorgeous machine gives a whole new meaning to "working from home".

My uncle rebuilt his rear end so the two rear axles would turn also. It makes turning way so much easier. Very cool rig I love it.
This looks better than some studio apartments I have seen.
Love the full gauge package with the diamond VIT interior, definitely a must.
