@@flimi Keep in mind that these "French" pieces which have ridiculously high notes for bassoon were written with french bassoon in mind.
@@flimi Finger a high C-sharp normally then shake the high E-flat key? Finger wise it isn't too difficult.

Yes
If you take out all of the strings, it would sound very close to a woodwind trio.
