This car is the best car that money can buy, I have ever seen so far. But I have a suggestion for Ferrari, the name La Ferrari sounds like a pizza restaurant.

The car apparently has a plaque with Alonso's name on it at the base of the steering. Will this be there for all 499 cars? Just shows how highly regarded he is at Ferrari. Just for the great man's name alone I would've bought a La Ferrari along with a driving lesson from him ;-)

I've read this long time ago... I'm not a fanboy at all. I love all great cars! And I'm sure the P1 will be as good as this! or even better but I don't care! Only watching this car gives me a thrill and the P1 doesn't...
BTW If you read some good articles you'll understand that LaFerrari is way more Hi-tech than the P1 (starting from the carbon fiber monocoque)...

The McLaren is still using a 3.8L TT V8.... Meaning there is going to be turbo lag, whereas the Ferrari is using a naturally aspirated 6.3L V12, meaning there is no turbo lag, there is no waiting for turbos to wake up and that the 800HP produced by the engine is available instantaneously. It's a V12, of course the engine is going to weigh a lot more, it's also bigger..... much, much bigger.

Your paying for the brand name, the technology behind the car, the amount of man hours put into, developing, researching and building a hyper car. And you can not ignore that this is a LIMITED EDITION (Meaning only a limited number are going to be produced). Guaranteed, there will be more, better technology in one wheel of the Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin, BMW, Audi and Pagani than there is in any.... any car that came out of America.

End of discussion, you say? It's a fact that modern variable vane turbos have practically eliminated turbo lag. I'll ask again, why is it that almost every street car in the 2 second 0-60 bracket is turbocharged? Why are all the quickest cars turbocharged? Why are you stuck in the 90's?

MCLAREN has turbos...it's easy with turbo! build an aspirated engine like this is only technology...that's my opinion :)

Corvette use the same material of Ferrari or Pagani? The new Viper is still a powerfull car, but don't use the same material or technology of Ferrari, Pagani, McLaren, Lamborghini, etc....This is why they cost less.
The new corvette costs $50,000 dollars this thing costs 1.4 million dollars so what the hell is your point. When Europe can produce a car with anything close to Corvette performance for $50,000 please let us know (0 to 60 in under 4 sec top speed 189mph)

Ferrari will never pit a Laferrari against a P1 becaue they know it will be humbled.

Turbo lag, really? I have no doubt the Ferrari TheFerrari will be very, very quick. But you can't seriously be talking about turbo lag when nearly EVERY car in the 2 second club is turbocharged. With Porsche & Nissan already selling 3.8 TT engines, sprinting to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, do you actually think the P1 will have an issue with turbo lag? If you like LaFerrari over the McLaren, so be it. But find a less laughable argument than turbo lag.

american cars are not powerful. To overcome it, the engines have bigger displacement or use turbo. Viper's 8000cc engine produces 625 hp while Ferrari's 6262cc engine can produce 800 hp, even FXX can produce 860 hp. the ferrari's engine is lighter & efficient, while corvette's & viper's are heavier & still use primitive push rod system. Not to mention that other things that american cars don't have: light carbon fiber chassis & body, F1 suspension, luxury interior, dual clutch gearbox etc
