  • This is the third episode of the Bushcraft Tarp Camping mini-series. Throughout this series I will be completing the setup of a semi-permanent camp that I can return to throughout the future to complete a variety of bushcraft trips and projects. In this episode I focus on making a table for camp.
    Thank you to everyone who watches, I hope you all enjoy!

    Had to chuckle at the forgotten pipe tamp issue. With your skill set, that’s about the easiest item to replace, I’d think.

      Haha ya it's not a big deal to replace. It was harder on my pride knowing that I had once again forgotten to pack something.

    For my pipes, I find that a little “poker” or “tamper” helps a lot. I was doing a poor job of loading tobacco, and tamping it down into the bowl with a finger tip. It was often leaving a void at the bottom of the bowl.
    I broke off a twig that was about 1/8” inch in diameter by about 3” long. Using that to tamp in layers of tobacco worked much better. It might work for your pipe too?
    OOPS! And you had a tamper already! 😏

    Great video series! Enjoying every moment! Why did you use the broad side of the axe head instead of the poll when hitting the wedges in to split the log?
    Looking forward to the next video:-)

    • @KuskBushcraft
      @KuskBushcraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      More surface area to strike with so it's less likely to break the wedge by striking the edge of it.

    Hey Riley, loving your videos. You probably don't remember me but you helped me a couple years back to get into carving and I've been making spoons. I remember in one of your older videos you had this hand drill but that you could adjust the size of the bore. I think it had a hollow top so you could just get a stick and put it through. Would you be able to let me know where I can get one?
