The newer helmets look FAR BETTER than the old school helmets. The old helmets look ridiculous. NFL Sunday ticket question how do you feel about this judge undermining the whole jury system by throwing out that verdict? I have been on a cherry before, and I cannot tell you how mad I would be as a tourist to have some judge come behind me, and overrule what we as a jury had decided. That is what appeals processes are for not for some judge to decide that the jury doesn’t know what the heck they’re doing and I know better so I will make the decision.

Im surprised they didnt skip over these caps, and jump over to ultra custom 3D printed helmets with built-in accelerometers that alert everybody when a helmet has received significant damage, that player goes to the sideline , grabs a newly printed helmet, and the damaged helmet gets auctioned off later for a non-profit fundraiser. Because the helmet will fit that players head/hair within millimeter exactness it will be more effective and comfortable. And because it is replaced instantly, damage to it is irrelevant and the hard outer shell (an incredibly violent aspect of football) can be virtually eliminated or at least made crackable so it inflicts less damage on other players
You can't stop concussions. The space between the skull and brain is the issue. Heads/Helmets will bounce off the ground, speed-up, and suddenly stop. So much energy is happening on a football field...and you can only control it so much. Especially tackling
Yea but there was a Bills player who wore the double helmet shell that made his head look huge (Mark Kelso?) and we got used to that…

As a Seahawks fan, I think it would be fun to have an expansion team in Portland to create a natural geographical rivalry. Not that the NFL cares about the PNW.
On the subject of the NFL helmets, design them kind of like a boxing glove , the hard shell on the inside and the outside padded with a smooth padded surface like a BOXING GLOVE . They'll probably be a little bigger but there would be no problem with logos. A little less padding between the players head and the shell, reducing the size of the hard shell. Then cover it with the wright foam or rubber etc. etc. and make it smooth. If it's OK to get hit in the HEAD with a boxing glove, it should work for a helmet. If designed wright, it could eliminate head and neck injuries and maybe change the penalty rules. A head shot would be lesser penalty or no penalty at all. Hey you heard it here first folks. Hmm, just gave away a million dollar idea.
I simply don't understand modern NFL. Gibbs, Parcells, Walsh didn't win every year. WTF?! Even great coaches don't win super bowls every year. Christ.

@@DanGeezyPresentsDrew Brees went 12-4 and 9-7 his final 2 seasons in San Diego. He played under Marty Schottenheimer. Who ran the hell out of the ball. Still put up decent numbers, throwing 25 to 30 × a game. He hurt his shoulders against the Broncos the last game of the season. So teams got scared it was career ending.
Maybe they should resurrect the St Louis All Stars that played one Season in 1923 or the St. Louis Gunners

Oh, for cryin' out loud, just fast forward to the National Flag Football League. THIS is where it's inevitably going. That is, football without the physicality.
The Eagles fell apart because the Horrible OC/DC . It finally caught up with them. Hurts carried the team to 10/1 despite the terrible play calling by Johnson.. The Defensive players didn't know where to line up. They often had 2 or 3 players in the same gap. And Matt Patricia was an embarrassment. His so called defensive scheme was, I don't have a word for it. Pathetic works works.
On Offense they had almost no pre snap movement, they didn't run the ball enough, no check downs, no over the middle pass plays and Brian Johnson wanted Hurts to chuck the ball deep every paly. You can't throw it deep all of the time when the D plays 2 deep safeties. Teams caught on with that and blitzed all the time down the stretch. You can't wait for the WRs to get open deep when there's a blitz. The Eagles had no quick reads. Hurts had no time to wait for a deep pattern to open up.. That's why they fell apart. That won't happen this year. The OC/DC coordinators last year were the worst that I've ever seen for the Eagles. They just flat out sucked!!!

@@stephenhamilton1113 but he wasn't a broadcaster. He was a lawyer with his own practice. Could have "easily" transitioned into the agency world. Though, he might not have liked the idea of traveling to represent players. Meeting with owners and GMs all across America. Not something that can be easily done from West Virginia.
