  • A genuinely fascinating comic franchise has been the anomaly in adaptations for its entire history, never seeming to break into the mainstream. I really have fell in love with this series through the making of this video and I hope this will help others fall in love with it as well.
Please tell me how I could improve in future as I live off feedback and nothing else.
All copyrighted material belongs to original owners, although I'm not sure if this will save me from the copyright gods.
I have also created a Patreon out of shear desperation, I have been looking for a job for several months and have had no luck so if you could be so kind as to give it a look I would really appreciate it: patreon.com/TimidSnake?...

Please watch this video, those animations took me way longer than I expected and I did not need to put that much effort into this. Anyway please enjoy and look out for my next video which will be exponentially longer.
I have also created a Patreon page even though I never wanted to make content for money because at this point I am kinda desperate right now, if you'd consider checking it out I would really appreciate it: patreon.com/TimidSnake?Link&
You can currently see and comment on my next project script for 5 USD/month.
    Give me feedback as well.

I loved the Vertigo comics brand that DC had. Hellblazer was definitely one of my favorite series.

Just to let you know, the backstory of John and his rapidly diminishing number of friends is in Hellblazer issue 11.

Legends of tomorrow dud finish the Newcastle Incident storyline fron the standalone tv series. That show is goofy af, but is fun; and becomes exponentially enjoyable with the addition of Constantine. At least watch his first season for closure.

If you keep making videos like this you'll get a lot more subscribers. Great effort dude. You've got quality.

The TV show Constantine was very good. The acting was good, etc. In fact, I bought the DVD and watched all the extra materials. My main problem with it was that the writers were all 23-25 years old and pretty fresh faced. Having come of age around the same time as Constantine and in the same milieu (in the US), I have got to say that the Hellblazer comics heavily rely on that world to set stories in the present. The real writers (except for one) and not the executive writing staff (who edited the scripts) didn't seem aware of that world, with its politics, substance abuse especially alcohol and tobacco, and the attitude, and they reflected less edged version of their experiences. It is very unfair to ask them to have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the period nor to include their own experience and underground background (even though it is apparent most of the writers didn't). Having said all that, I also recommend it -- it is a faithful to the comics as you are going to get.

PS. I don't think Reeves read the comics until they started filming.

Im not a fan of comic books, and definitely not comic book movies. I was still recommended this video by the algorithm, so perhaps your break into gaining more viewership is close.
Its clear you put a lot of work into your content, so I wish you success.

This will probably be the last video I make about comic book movies because I haven't watched any new ones in about 5 years. Thank you for writing this comment though.

To answer the question God I hope so. Constantine is a fantastic character that should he so much more popular than he is. On Paper it sounds like he should but that’s not the case. Matt Ryan was like lightning in a bottle in terms of casting sadly most of the projects he was in didn’t deserve his fantastic performance, however given a good writer Matt would be perfect for a new Constantine project that is more mature and horror themed. The way that Matt Ryan portrayed Constantine is unparalleled and he truly shines in the animated films cause they don’t hold back on the adult films. Matt Ryan is so effortless in his transition from Live action to animation and back. He truly IS John Constantine. To me he is to Constantine what Kevin Conroy was to Batman.

I was going to say in the video that Matt Ryan is like Kevin Conroy for Constantine because he truly does embody the character in every way. Personally I don't like the animated films because I dislike the DCAU animation style past 2008, I really wish they would return to the Bruce Timm or Jeff Matsuda style.

Love the movie but yeah... It's not a good adaptation of the comics and I'd LOVE a better adaptation.
I adore Keanu but he's not the right choice for Constantine. At all.

Have you ever read hellblazer? John Constantine is a bisexual, anarchist who hates thatcher and plays heaven and hell against each other
