Thank you Prof Peter for taking time to provide this interesting and informative information, about what has become a routine diagnosis procedure for many coronary patients.
True story. Around 6am one Summers Day, I got a massive Chest pain. I got out of bed to ring an Ambulance. Made it to the Lounge Room and then got another massive pain. I dropped into a lounge chair thinking this is it ,the next one will be the finish. Well the next one didn't happen. Strangely enough I was calm with the thought that my day had arrived. Also strange was that I had no afterpain. I had two massive pain events that bought me to my knees, then nothing. I drove myself to the Maitland Hospital (Christmas Day 2020). The staff were not impressed that I drove. Anyway they hooked me up to a monitor , and I just lay there ,freezing my butt off for a couple of hours. Just before the midday meal was to be delivered I was told I didn't have a heart attack, and that I can get dressed and go home.
Hello Professor Barlis, thank you for your series of vidoes. I have found them very informative. I have recently been diagnosed with Heart Failure with an ejection fractoion of 30% with LBBB. This was discovered via a recent Echocardiogram. I am being titrated on the recommend meds now. And have another Echo in 2-3 months. I am wondering about Inter- and IntraOperator Variability, and whether it is worth getting the upcoming Echo done by a different Clinic and Opertator? Do you have a general opinion on Echo variability? Thank you in advance. Graham
I’m not a cardiologist but I do have hf with 30ef and have asked this question - variability between electrocardiographs is about 5% trans esophageal results are more accurate but no number is definitive and will vary from month to month, year to year. More important than the ef number is - how do you feel?

Very helpful … thank you very kindly 👍
Had a trans esoughageal ultrasound. Woke up in the middle and tried to pull the transducer out. I do remember Dr. screaming...give him more. 😂
Hi, can it detect for stent thrombosis? I am curious because I just had a stent installed in my LOB.
