Such a strange piece of art. It encapsulates both a descending mental breakdown, and a state of calm and peace. A view into an alternate reality where Shinji did find happiness, although knowing Eva, it still would also likely collapse. Alternate Rei is also extremely uncomfortably expressive, but at the same time, I'm happy seeing such a joyful portrayal.
Richard Hammond: "And then, a geography teacher arrived." Misato: SSSCCREEEEECCHHHHHHH James May: "God above, I thought that was one of the teachers." Three Stooges: "Aw yeah! Miss Misato our teacher!! Oh she's gorgeous! Aw yes, TWO!!"
I searched the music and encountered this video. Not only the music but, the choice of the image is excellent! It's hard to describe but it's like I can feel the scent of that night.
I know that probably no one is gonna read this, but when I hear this song I get a strange melancholic feeling, it feels like a friday night, after a week full of stress you can finally sit down in peace, but it's too peaceful, you have no one else and it's just you, alone, and you aren't bothered by that but at the same time it wouldn't be bad to share with someone else your thoughts, or just to have some company
When I finally found this track earlier this year after watching the alternate reality scene, I used it sometimes as BGM. One time, I decided to play it openly at home, and my mom commented on how sad it sounded. She had not watched the show then. This track hints at that sentimental yearning for a "normal", better life, precisely so that even those who have not watched the show would recognize it. I have not yet even fully watched the show yet. Just episodes 1-2 with mom, and scenes uploaded online.
i’ve discovered this song just a night ago and fell in love with it. this is an actual song i can just be calm in. it draws me off so many negative thoughts and reminds me of great moments in my life. honestly made me realize how ungrateful i am for many things that ive hated. imagine a business suited dog here. (i love dogs)
I forgot the name of this song but remembered the melody and found it. AHHHHHH feels so good to hear it again, I thought it was from Jojo part 4 at first

This sounds so much like "Electra" from Nadia the secret of blue water.
