Das Problem ist, dass Mode immer gleich mit Oberflächlichkeit gleichsetzt wird. In Deutschland wird man meistens seltsam angeschaut, wenn man sich mal extravagant oder kreativer kleidet. Mode kann auch einfach Spaß machen und als Teil der Selbstverwirklichung verstanden werden. Mode bedeutet nicht zwangsläufig sich teure Markenklamotten zusammen zu kaufen.

Dieses Video hat mir das Gefühl gegeben, so konsumorientiert zu sein. Mir ist auf jeden Fall wichtig, was ich anziehen werde und ich brauche mehr als 5 Minuten, um es auszuwählen.
von mir aus, ist es interesant wenn Leute sich unterschiedlich und mit dem Geschmack kleiden..das ist genau so wie mit Architektur einer Stadt, das ist ästhetisch angenehm zu zusehen.

Tbh, German fashion is more like American fashion. Both like to emphasize comfort, simplicity, function and practicality over aesthetics, individuality, detail, and fantasy. The major designers of Germany are Hugo Boss and Jill Sander (Karl Lagerfeld is a major designer, but he did most of his career in Paris working for Chanel and Fendi, so his designs are not as stereotypically German, though his own brand Karl Lagerfeld is more German in value), whereas the US has Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Perry Ellis, Tom Ford, all which are known for their minimalistic simple designs and monochromatic colors, which are appropriate for industrious and career oriented societies like America and Germany. Not to mention, both the US and Germany have a prominent sportswear and outdoor wear brands, like Adidas, Puma, Erima, Jack Wolfskin, Nike, Sketchers, Jordan, New Balance, Under Armour, Timberland, North Face, Patagonia, etc. The quintessential New York fashion is the business/cocktail fashion. A lot of big German brands, including Hugo Boss, Jil Sander, Escada, Adidas, Puma, display their seasonal collection in NYFW (New York Fashion Week) rather than PFW (Paris Fashion Week) or MFW (Milan Fashion Week) because their fashion values fit more with those of New York than with those Paris or Milan. Paris is the capital of haute couture, and known for its chic fashion. Paris likes to emphasize on daring avant garde fashion, with an obsession to intricate detail, and classic designs that are chic. The US is afterall founded on Protestant Anglo values, which is part of the overall greater Germanic culture, and not to mention, Germans make up the largest ethnic group in the US. Also, a lot of American designers have German/Austrian surnames (Klein for Calvin Klein and Faske for Donna Karan's maiden name) or some Germanic last name (Anderson (Swedish) for Michael Kors, Hilfiger (Dutch/Afrikaans) for Tommy Hilfiger, Ellis (English) for Perry Ellis, Ford (English) for Tom Ford, Robinson (English) for Torry Burch).

Vielen Dank Easy German! Ich finde das Thema super interessant! Mir hat das immer gefallen, wie die Deutschen realtiv wenig Wert an dem Aussehen beimessen, sogar in grösse Städte. In Deutschland habe ich mich viel freier gefühlt, nicht immer schick aussezusehen, als in Paris. Seit meiner Reise in Berlin traue ich mich sogar, keinen Makeup mehr in der Alltag zu tragen, und dafür danke ich sehr der deutsche Mentalität 😄

@@dadadi5781 Meistens wird die Mode von den Jugendlichen verfolgt. Und wenn ich junge Leute sehe, die sich für Mode nicht interessieren, heißt das "für mich", dass sie sich für ihre Zukunft interessieren, und lassen sich davon nicht ablenken.
Erst wenn man beginnt, zu arbeiten und für sich selbst zu sorgen, würde man sagen: "Er/Sie hat etwas schönes an. Er/Sie hat es aber verdient.

Ich denke, dass die meisten Leute kein Zeit für Mode haben. Das Leben ist schon stressig und kompliziert, und man braucht keine extra Sorge. Es ist vielleicht wichtig, wie man für ein Interview, Job oder die Universität aufziehen. Anders ist egal.

Ich vertrete den Standpunkt , dass die Mode nicht so wichtig als viele Leute denken ist . Auf einer Seit kann man sagen , dass es viele klamottenmarken in der Welt gibt und es ist ja deutlich ,dass der gängige Zweck dieser allen Marken ist ihre Produkte den meisten Leuten zu verkaufen genauso wie alle andere Firma in anderen ökonomischen Domänen in diesem Kapitalismussystem . Der Punkt ist , wir sind mit zahlreichen verschiedenen Klamotten versorgt und wir sind von daher obligiert , hinter den wechselende Trends herzulaufen und unser Geld auszugeben . Die Mode ist ganz einfach eine Illusion die um die Gesellschaftsgeschmacks zu kontrollieren und um die Leute an konsumieren zu ermutigen entseht wurdet , meiner Meinung nach.Andererseits glaub ich 100% dass jeder tragen soll ,was ihm am besten passt ,ohne dass er sich fur die Meinungen der anderen Leute interessiert .

I don't know why, but in many Latin American places if u wear super informal clothes, you are considered kind of poor and even discriminated.... I sometimes like to wear super informal and people don't treat me the same as im wearing elegant or more styled clothes...sad reality
in rich countries, things that everyone can afford are no longer luxury. so you're not poor if you don't have it - you decided against it. Germany is one of the countries that is too rich to value clothing. What was not said in this video is that it is frowned upon to spend too much money on clothes because it is useless and wasteful. in addition, the very stylish Germans are said to be insecure and influenced. you don't get good jobs with these characteristics. it is only important to look clean and well maintained.
Incidentally, I find your statement very interesting. i have never heard of discrimination. So far, I only knew the argument that informal clothing in some countries comes across as not appreciating others.
@@Goldzwiebel oh yeah, in Latin America appearance is everything. Girls are expected to wear heels, makeup, jewelry, do their hair, wax and everything when going out.
If you're going somewhere, like run an errand at your bank while you're wearing sweatpants, sneakers and a hoodie, people will stare at you. But if you're dressed more elegantly, they'll compliment you.

Es gibt genug Motive, welche den eigenen Charakter ausdrücken und authentisch sind. Da ist das Markengelaber mit der Aussage die zu tragen um mehr zu sein als andere deutsche. wohl eher bemitleidenswert. Ich schaffe das durch Fertigkeiten die mich von anderen abheben. Ganz ohne Markenklamotten. Und dann bin ich maximal in dieser Sache besser als andere aber sicher nicht als Mensch oder weil ich Araber bin.

This is one of the thickest replies I've ever read but why do you say over "aesthetics" and "individuality" in the second sentence? What do you mean exactly and why do you think that? Also, how do you know so much about NY fashion lol if you don't mind me asking(your NY statements are so in depth)

Mode in Deutschland is sehr gut, gefallt mir sehr. Aber es gibt keine zeit modische zu sein, ich trage uberhaupt etwas bequem, jeans und t-shirt, jeans und pullover
Ich mag Maria weil sie hübsch ist und ihre Aussprache klingt sehr schön.
Mhmm also ich persönlich habe sehr viel Spaß an Mode (weniger die Marke und mehr wie die Person kombiniert etc.) und ich „verstecke mich nicht nicht dahinter“ wie der eine Herr es ausgedrückt hatte. Ich finde es kommt drauf an wie man es auslebt und vor allem, dass man andere nicht verurteilt wegen ihren Klamotten oder weil sie sich nicht für Mode interessieren. Jedem das seine. Ich finde allerdings auch, dass es sehr „oberflächlich“ ist Leute, die sich für Fashion interessieren gleich als oberflächlich abzustempeln, wenn ihr versteht wie ich das meine. Viele drücken sich durch ihre Kleidung so wunderschön aus (und damit meine ich nicht die Menschen die auf Krampf nur Marken Klamotten tragen wollen - aber auch hier jedem das seine). Ich denke das ist viel vielschichtiger. Letztlich ist es einfach wichtig, dass man sein Ding durchzieht, aber andere nicht dafür fertigt macht, weil sie nicht den gleichen Film schieben wie man selbst.

I live in Germany since 2017 and I've seen and meet a lot of people interested in fashion, this video make the Germans look like the most boring and mhé persons, it would've been more interesting see interviews with persons also interested in fashion, you can just walk a few squares in Berlin and you will be amazed with all the styles and incredible looks. The arab-german guy I think was the only one with more interesting answers, besides that boooring.
Yeah of course, I think the function sometimes is more important in Germany than the style BUT definitely there are a lot of people into fashion.

Diese Umfrage wurde in Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg gemacht. Die deutsche Hauptstadt ist bekannt dafür, nicht chic zu sein. Man verdient weniger Geld in Berlin, also kauft man nichts teures. Viele teure Modeläden eröffnen in München, Hamburg oder Düsseldorf eine Boutique. Dort sind die Leute chic und verdienen gut.
Im Film tragen alle im Hintergrund t-shirts und Jeans. Eine Frau trägt einen Rock.
In anderen Stadtteilen von Berlin oder einer anderen Stadt in Deutschland wäre vielleicht jemand chic oder

Jeder hat eine Uhr im Smartphone. Irgend jemand hat vor hundert Jahren die Regel erfunden, dass man Wohlstand an der Armbanduhr erkennt. Viele Männer und Frauen wollen keine Uhr tragen. Sie schauen auf Smartphone oder tragen eine Smart watch.
