      Thanks Sonya! I was going to ask if you are ready to get into the water, but your field finds have outstanding. If it's working, why change it.

    Put the remote in the waterproof bag upside down, then when you pick it up it's easy to read instead of having to twist it around.

    Thank you for that. Love the neck holder, but we can’t get it in NewZealand.

      You could probably order one from the states.there only 5 dollars.

      Clancy, several companies make similar holders ranging from $5 to $20. The inexpensive ones work find for us. You should be able to order them online. Search for: cell phone holder neck. Let me know if we can be of further help. Thanks.

    Great video, so with rod extension, you still get a signal even know it’s not attached to controller ?

    • @alancarpenter6826
      @alancarpenter6826 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does transfer to the control.

    • @jameskochevar3083

      Steve, yes it works fine. If one was to use it for diving or snorkeling you would want it attached to the waterproof bag. We only wade in the water to a depth of up to our necks. We found the double stick tape on the connecting point comes off easily. Another person recommended a better tape. I'll find a link for it and get back to you.

    You prefer the XP waterproof earbuds?

    • @alancarpenter6826
      @alancarpenter6826 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like both styles. We havent used a expensive pair of ear buds yet.

    • @jameskochevar3083
      @jameskochevar3083 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Charles, I've used both and they work fine. I like to use the inexpensive ear buds because I also like to wear sunglasses and it's a better, easier fit for me. But, to each their own. Thanks for asking.

    We went from wireless back to wires ? ..... Can the ORX unit be installed inside the water proof bag and use my ORX wireless headphones ? I just need to drop the detector in water while I dig up my nugget ......

    • @alancarpenter6826
      @alancarpenter6826 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on how deep you go. We use earbuds plugged into the back of the waterproof bag. It works flawlessly. Good luck hunting

    Just got one of these kits and the instructions as usual with XP product's are always vague at best. I've had better luck assembling Chinese crap than XP products. Is the inline headphone volume control waterproof too, or does it need to go in the waterproof bag after setting the volume?

    • @XPTeamUSA
      @XPTeamUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      The bag is for the controller which is not water proof. If you are using XP head phones for the ORX or Deus 1 you need to be careful not to get them wet as they are not water proof. The Deus 2 is totally water proof. I would suggest using the cheaper xp headset that plugs.
