    Great demonstration Cleg, thanks for sharing. I'm just about to fit my kit to the Deus for the first time for an early hunt tomorrow.

    Is the Adapter to adjust the Volume waterproof, or Do I have to keep it outside the Water?

    Also I'm planning to travel and beaches where I will be going can in some places be extremely mineralized... once, so much so, that I could not use my Whites DFX because it would not ground balance even in the dry sand. Do you think I will be able to ground balance the deus in this type of environment ?
    Thanks

      Richard Davis had no drama with water, coil is 100% waterproof . The hf coils handle the mineralsation very well. In really hot beach sand i would run it in goldfield with 1 button grpuns balance so you can rebalance as oftem as you need to even mid swing.
      Hope that helps

      Should not be a problem mate I can get it balanced in some pretty hot areas here in Australia, I would run it like a gold detector in those cases.

    I never had the XP Deus work in salt water. I spoke to the manufacturer in France and they stated it's not for salt water use.

      It's not at it s best in saltwater, but can perform quite well having said that with some settings tweaks. Running Like a gold machine can be the best way.

    I'm looking at buying an XP Deus, considering all the settings you should be able to work salt water, but I'm worried about leaks or damage if I should try surf hunting in salt water. Have you done any experiments with that ?

    Great demo mate thinking about getting a kit for my deus how safe is it in salt water regarding the coil and do you protect the gold charging pins from the salt or will it wash after use cheers mate many thanks Cleg

      Thanks Mate, Just a clean after use is fine, I don't tape or put anything on them at all.

    Hi, Thanks for sharing information. Have you tried this kit? how it does? I have heard that sometimes it loses signals under water .

    • @AussieDetectorist
      @AussieDetectorist  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will depend on keeping the small part that transmits the signal close to the remote or WS4. Using the small rubber rings to secure the bracket to the coil will also ensure you get a solid connection. Signal loss is normally due to incorrect installation.
      Have Fun Mate.
