Aside from the talent and hard work she comes across as being genuine and humble, and that adds to her impressiveness. Mum and Dad must be super proud.
Thank you Candance Hill for serving as an inspiration to both young and old. I congratulate yout parents, teachers, mentors, and coaches for the time they rightfully invested in you on & off track. I hope that you enjoy your youth in the process of breaking records.
Well hopefully she can make the transition ....remain injury free and can perform well worldwide .....and not only in the us ....its always good to see promising athletes no matter where they are from .........all the best sis
I go to the same school that Donavan Bailey went to in Ontario Canada and his records are littered on the wall. whats amazing is that in his senior year he only ran a 10.98 as a male. She is 16 so probably 2 years younger than him and is running a 10.98 as a female.... insane.
I don't want to be an ass , but Bailey would not be running 10.98 as a senior in hs. I ran 10.78 as a senior in hs , and I'm white AF. And even that time , tho fast enough to be City champion , was not nearly fast enough for nationals where I got my white ass politely handed to me. The guy that won ran 10.32....and I'm pretty sure he didn't go on to break the world record in the 100m. ?? Maybe that 10.98 by Bailey was grade 8 not senior.?? He would be running 10.3 ..10.2 ..as a senior easy. IMO
It depends on the person and not if he ran a 10.3 but did not advance. As stated with Bailey, what about those who improve tremendously? It shows that determination CANNOT be measure. Unless you are hungry for a given thing, you will not seek it out. I saw the little white kid that ran a 10.3 and left everyone else miles. In college, he was often left behind as well. With that kind of talent, he could have easily been in Rio. Obviously, the drive is not him!
Rio she'll be in the final but won't medal but in 2020 , she'll be 20 years old, in her prime and will be one of the youngest to break the10.7 barrier that hasn't been broken since 2009 Shanghai by jeter
She has a very promising future ahead of her! Here's hoping she stays healthy The line about her 10.98 winning her a silver medal in Beijing is very disingenuous though
***** Her 10.98 had +2.0 tailwind so she wouldn't have gotten silver in 2008 since they were running into still wind, but she's still very promising and definitely hasn't reached her peak yet
Her capabilities combined with her positivity, drive and humility will take her very very far. This young girl truly has had head on right. Wish her well! Take over girl 👍
U already a star but stay ur self and do ur best to avoid on necessary things that might lead u to down hill. We love you and will always support u. Keep it up.
the second place finisher in the race where Candice first ran an amazing 10.98 at only 15 is an athlete that with the right training and trainer could be on Candice heels continuously. (No pun intended): )
Dan chapman so the Dutch is 'your'RIO Olympic double sprint champion, the hate you have for jamaican is very, very PERSONAL.i don't think it's simply athletics
I like your attitude Candace. You want to win and have found an outlet for bad grades or anger. Please don't over train because your youth is what will keep you fresh. These corporations will run you down talking about what you could be until you break down then they drop the hype. There's one more gear that you will find and it's personal. When you can run from behind and lift towards the end. Maturity will bring it. Remember some athletes aren't mad at homework they want more for their family and are coming from harsh places. So they fight for that finish line. Peace.
GO BACK TO 5:10, and watch how "she" says "I'ma real world champion" then instantly looks down in shame. That says it all. I almost feel sorry for him at this point.
It's 2018, where is she at now? Maybe she turned pro too soon! She should be on the world scene by now! This video is two year's old already... Please, post an updated video! Thank's, #whereiscandacehill
Yes, America has it's share of fast runners. The last time I checked only USAIN BOLT(Jamaica)cross the finish line first in the 100 meter dash, the only track and field event which truly represents who the best runners in the world are.He is a super star in his sport and it is HIS sport.
Nah fam, Sydney McLaughlin will race 100-400 and be like Felix but add hurdle and LJ in there, then get 8 gold medals in Heptathlon after having my babies. 😀😱😎🇺🇸
May she leave Flo-Jo in the dust, and may she live a lot longer. One IMPRESSIVE individual. I'm not a sports fan in general, but I do keep tabs on this lady. I used to run, though I was no record setter. More of a dilettante, though I did periodically impress a few here and there.
Will Candace win a medal at Tokyo 2020?
Aside from the talent and hard work she comes across as being genuine and humble, and that adds to her impressiveness. Mum and Dad must be super proud.
She's such a kind, humble and sweet girl :)
I ran a 4.6 40 in high school, was one of the fastest sprinters on the football field, and never ran under 11 seconds in the 100 m. She fast🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Candance Hill for serving as an inspiration to both young and old. I congratulate yout parents, teachers, mentors, and coaches for the time they rightfully invested in you on & off track. I hope that you enjoy your youth in the process of breaking records.
I like this girl. I look forward to seeing her blossom.
Hard not to be impressed by this girl. She could make it any endeavour, any arena, not just sports.
When I was 11 I got 12.92 in the 100yd, I'm 12 now and still practicing
Keep it up!
keep up the good work!!!
Keep it up! You could set a record ✊
Thanks :)
No problem 💪👊
Well hopefully she can make the transition ....remain injury free and can perform well worldwide .....and not only in the us ....its always good to see promising athletes no matter where they are from .........all the best sis

Is 10.98 the record at your h.s.?
I don't want to be an ass , but Bailey would not be running 10.98 as a senior in hs. I ran 10.78 as a senior in hs , and I'm white AF. Imagine her and Allyson Felix together as members of the USA 4x100 team!! They'd crush the competition!
Well two weeks ago she ran 11.19 and 22.38 PB.. I say she's the real deal. and it was only her second race of the year
+Candice Blount don't forget Carmilta Jeter. Together they'll be the ultimate team threat
Carmilita Jeter is retired tho?
MoonDood091 No she's not she can't go to the Rio olympics bcuz her quad injury
Angel Harmony she was retired during the release of this video and she still is

that long stride....it could be what makes her the best ever
Rio she'll be in the final but won't medal but in 2020 , she'll be 20 years old, in her prime and will be one of the youngest to break the10.7 barrier that hasn't been broken since 2009 Shanghai by jeter
love her sass and confidence "you dont know me now but u soon will" yassss work it gurll
It's sad she didn't live up to the hype. She still has time though to go for it and make it.
I really enjoyed this video. Stay humble and stay focused Candace and you'll get THERE.
This girl is just overall amazing in everything. Wonderful! I feel so proud and happy for her.
She has a very promising future ahead of her! Here's hoping she stays healthy
The line about her 10.98 winning her a silver medal in Beijing is very disingenuous though
+AMM Amazing runner... 10.98 equals the silver medal time for the Beijing Olympics! and sprinters peak in their 20s!
***** Her 10.98 had +2.0 tailwind so she wouldn't have gotten silver in 2008 since they were running into still wind, but she's still very promising and definitely hasn't reached her peak yet
Maybe her time would have won the Sydney Olympics, lol
Lol well, I think she would've beaten Debbie Ferguson...
+AMM The great Carmelita Jeter got silver with an impressive 10.79 indeed!
I watched her run that 10.98! What an amazing athlete
Omg she is fast
I'm looking forward to seeing her represent the country.
Her capabilities combined with her positivity, drive and humility will take her very very far. This young girl truly has had head on right. Wish her well! Take over girl 👍

Wow, its come so easily for her. Does she have an arch rival yet? Maybe the Dutch lady. She is going to be fun to watch and root for.
Dan chapman so the Dutch is 'your'RIO Olympic double sprint champion, the hate you have for jamaican is very, very PERSONAL.i don't think it's simply athletics
I am the fastest girl in the school you inspire me 🏆🏆
What a great story....
WRONG SORRY. It is Caster Semeya SOUTH AFRICAN!!! 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm 10 and I took 16.00 seconds to run the 100 meter dash... I need to train more...
At 5:20 why was the guy on the bike following her🤦🏽♀️😂
Rain was a lady
when I was 17 I ran a 18sec 100m, the coach got fired soon after.
Timothy Massey you can’t blame a coach for that time😂
OUTSTANDING !! I like her- representing that Melaninated Superior Genetics

I f she stays on an American diet I don't think shes going to get there. The Jamaicans are in another world when it comes to sprinting.
1948-2000...Jamaica got a grand total of FIVE medals in sprinting. Did something change in the Jamaican "diet" after 2000? Hah, you don't know shit.
The worlds fastest man is from Jamaica that's all that's counts.Stay classy.

+Golden Voice smdh
When you say track and field I only think of one name USAIN BOLT international superstar.
I hate to admit but there is the next women record holder
Nah fam, Sydney McLaughlin will race 100-400 and be like Felix but add hurdle and LJ in there, then get 8 gold medals in Heptathlon after having my babies. 😀😱😎🇺🇸
hurdles*
Woah
Why does everyone always mention Alison For being the fastest, it's Shelly Ann Fraser price, right?
The wind can't catch her.
Good luck
I am 8 and my time is 15.02

Trivia: who was the last "Clean" 100m female sprinter who took gold at the Olympics??
A wee caution: try not to believe the hype, even your own, so that you can focus on your game, and not on all the buzz around you.
im the fastest person in the universe
Toolum power. Speed like that.
Go girl go!
