Very useful info. Tips like not dragging the machine, effect of single grain loading and not overloading the 1.25L are a must. Thank you that you spoke in my language. Now where is Amazon....hmm😊
Glad it was useful. Thank you for your comments. Good to know there are many English speakers who viewed this very specific video. Ha ha, Amazon is the big shark which swallowed all the little fishes these past few decades. If you are in India, you can get it from a household electrical appliance store. Very clear explanation with true words.. super mam❤ I bought it recently but i face an issue that batter remains with few grains even after grinding for half an hour.. I don't know why 😊
Some grains probably need to be soaked longer, maybe we should mix it a little more with the spatula in the beginning. These issues are there in such machines I guess.
Vow, Mine is 230 V, we don't have 110 V in Europe. I got mine last year, they must have modified. Anyway, when its on I am near the kitchen so its kind of OK. Timers have only 2 years warranty.

Hi mam. Thanks for describing so nicely about this grinder. This Sunday only i bought this grinder and as you say one of the rubber caps has come out and I am not able to fix it. I somehow made the complaint. Other Wise i am satisfied
I don't think so without water. The ingredients should be wet enough to grind, or the stones will grind each other out. Personally, I haven't tried it, I add a little water or soaked grains with very little water. It had water in it.
Hi, thank you for the review. I am too planning to buy this grinder. However, I shall be grinding millets mostly instead of rice. Is this grinder effective in grinding them? And most importantly does the batter heat up? Because it is the sole reason why I want to buy a wet grinder. Kindly respond.
No, the batter doesn't heat up. But if you run the motor too long it gets heated up. I run it only for a max of 15 minutes. The millet is ground too, but you know I mixed it together with other grains in it. I am very satisfied with this.
@@VitalFairLiving Hello, Thank you for your response. I want to know the minimum and maximum amount of rice and dal we can grind in this grinder and the water to be added for each of them. This information is only available on the product user manual and it is not available on the website. Can you please share this information?
No, I didn't with this one. With the old Ultra Pride, I did run it under a dishwasher cycle and the bottom stone came off the metal. After that experience I didn't try it with this one. But at the time of washing the old model, my machine was well over a decade old. I will not risk it again.
I bought an Ultra mini a few months back but now I’m finding it extremely difficult to remove the drum after grinding. Anyone facing this problem and any solution ? Thanks.
I usually grind 1 cup of Urad dal, but you can easily grind 2 cups or more in it. Yes, the batter should be sufficient for a family of 4 in my opinion. But not sure how big is the apetite. My family is 3 members and I use it for 2 days, but my child doesn't eat much at all.
@@VitalFairLiving Thanks for taking time out to reply. I have Bosch 1000 Watts mixer grinder but whatever I observed since years on TH-cam and in small eateries is batter made in wet grinder makes Idlis more fluffier than mixer and also get spongy texture. Planning to buy Elgi ultra. Others offering around half the price but Elgi reviews are better.
@@prashantn687 Yes, Elgi Ultra is really good. I had an old one bought it in 2001, and it was still good in 2019 till I donated. Batter is better with wet grinder and it has better nutritional value than cutting with blades.
You can easily grind 300 to 400 gm of soaked Urad dhal. I usually use 200gm of U.dhal (1 American cup) and grind 3 cups of Idli rice separately. For Vadas, I double the quantity.
Fast grind motor is powerful and it grinds faster. The only con is that its a little too tall when I placed it on top of my counter. There is a timer too in that. This one has no timer and a little too small for bigger quantities.
Hi Chitra, thank you for this very helpful video! Im watching it from Melbourne, Australia. I’m considering whether to buy the mini vs the Elgi ultra perfect S. Since it’s just me, I prefer the Mini but since you say it heats up, I’m wondering whether for long term I should just buy the Ultra perfect S. Ps: I like your variety of videos, subscribed!💛
Thanks for subscribing and responding Anjali. I choose to buy MIni because it was small to carry in my big Samsonite and it was not too heavy too. It is working well and overall I am satisfied. I leave a gap of 20 min before adding the next batch. Moreover, I use it once a month or even less than that. You could soak the grains in the fridge and grind. I thought of Ultra Perfect too, but it takes space and is also bigger. All motors do heat up that is normal. Even my old Ultra Pride did heat up. The motor is next to the grinder so it will not affect the batter, where as with Ultra Fast grind, the drum was above the motor, so that makes the difference. We are 3 of us and this size is perfect for us too.
Sometimes it depends on the rice too. One cannot expect the same performance as a heavy duty one. I had the Ultra Fastgrind and it was definitely grinding it fine. But that one was huge and heavy to handle for my small hands. It grinds fine when I soak the grains overnight. But a lot depends on the rice variety, if I use the local Uncle Ben's parboiled, not even the heavy duty one grinds that rice.
It's an ok grinder. But cleaning it thoroughly is a nightmare, which makes me not want to use it. So, I switched and use ice cream function on blendtec to achieve same end result in fraction of time. Plus cleaning blendtec is a breeze. It's a shame that no investment is made in product development since this appliance hasn't changed in ages. Why no major players like kitchenaid have such product. May be it's too niche.
Thank you- looking for a good wet grinder- you helped me make up my mind 🙏🏾
Glad it was informative and helpful.
Thankyou for this helpful video. I was looking for "light weight" tilting grinder, because I am not able to manage heavy ones.
