I'm sure he's a great guy, with great intentions, but what I felt from him was slight arrogance, I think he was trying to be funny, but I would expect from him a higher level of speaking ability. Learning is easy to understand and hard to do, that means long nights reading difficult things. You have to give yourself over to the enterprise entirely. If you start out by thinking that you are compromised by something about you, you won't be able to do it. And that is why DEI is so bad.
