In Fallout's defense, Metro Exodus isn't a fully open world with AI who have their own schedules. The levels are supposed to be fairly large and open-ended, which gives that MGSV/BOTW feel to freedom of gameplay (I'd imagine), but it isn't a proper RPG like what -- ideally -- Fallout should be. That said, Fallout -- or Bethesda -- has been fucking up tons as far back as Skyrim, so that totally goes against what ambitions they have making solid RPGs with living, breathing open worlds.

I’m so hyped for this after watching the demo. I love FPS games and this now top of my list. I love the gun smoke effects and the sound is top notch. I couldn’t care less if it’s not a ‘AAA’ game. Throwing huge amounts of money at a game’s development and marketing doesn’t automatically make it a good game. The developers’ imagination , vision and commitment to giving gamers the best possible experience, without bleeding them dry through micro transactions, is what really counts.
"AAA" isn't a compliment these days. AAA games just mean it will be br broken at launch and MAYBE get fixed later down the line. with micro transactions on day one and sjw propaganda. I'm a fps fan and there hasn't been a good fps for a long time. really looking forward to this.

Their games have a great charm to them and good atmosphere, but also lack a bit of polish in certain areas. Though it seems to improve with each generation. Dialogs seem a bit off, but then again I played the other 2 Metro games in Russian with English subs.
@@Corrupt_be played both games with English dub since you lose so much of the little side conversations with the sub, which are really interesting and add to the world building. The dub has always been like this it doesn't sound any different to be honest it always was wonky but I don't mind it.

But this game has a lot more detail than RDR2 the guns, buildings, enemies, environment all look more real to me. Of course to be fair these areas are smaller and more unique than an RDR2 region.

A small tip : this fuckers in the tunels (spiders) hate light so just keep your flashlight on and wait until they lay on their back and just knife them or burn them shooting this bastards is waste of ammo due to their armour (incendiary ammo is a way too )
This looks really good, the only criticism I have is the dependence on quicktime events for drama. As long as it's not full of bugs on launch I'll be buying it for sure.
I replayed Last Light and it was buggier than I remembered. I hope this one isn't buggy too but I bet it may have bugs that could hurt progress and require restarting a whole chapter.

He is helping write the story, he wrote the whole storyline of Last Light, and while there may be some retconning (wtf is miller doing with them?) he intends for it to directly stem from 2035. I didn't think it had a lot to do with 2035 at first, the more I see of the game the more I think it does. Did you read Metro 2035? Watch the story trailer and pay attention to this one?

I guess the biggest point of criticism is that it doesn't or barely seems to have elements of the previous games, like the atmosphere in the metro area, which made the game unique. That being said I'm still hyped for the game and excited to find out how they manage to find a balance between outside and tunnel gameplay

I played the first two three times each, I loved them. Like the other two it is so immersive. To me this looks like icing on a very grand cake. I like how they have kept the original sounds of the spiders and weapons, like the Alien films kept the distinctive sounds of their weapons and scanner.

Oh God, I can't wait for this game. Buying a new GPU next month, getting Metro Exodus right after that, and Cyberpunk 2077 (hopefully) in June or July. Then I will be SOOOO f*cking happy.
I'm honestly not sure yet. I'll either go with Radeon 7 or 2080. The deciding factors will be Radeon availability, and taking into consideration the fact that I'm using an LG monitor with freesync, that isn't on Nvidia's list for adaptive sync working with their drivers. I'll go with the AMD GPU if I can. I know Navi will likely be coming out later this year, and the 2080 is probably the better card, but I'm just really not too worried about all that. I need an upgrade, and I'd be consistently waiting for the next best thing and never upgrade if I don't just pull the trigger on something. Plus I'm ready to get out from under this R9 390X. And in a few years I'm gonna build an entire new system anyway. As long as the Radeon 7 can play Cyberpunk 2077 and Metro Exodus on high settings at 2560x1080, I'll be happy. And I'm sure it can. It's well over 100% faster than the R9 390X.

Metro 2033 and Last light are some of my favorite games of all time. Needless to say I cannot f*cking wait for this. Some people might find the slow gameplay boring, but that is what makes this series so unique. It is more immersive than any other FPS out there. Also a tip for people who like immersive games; play Metro in Russian with English subtitles

He is helping write the story, he wrote the whole storyline of Last Light, and while there may be some retconning (wtf is miller doing with them?) he intends for it to directly stem from 2035.
I didn't think it had a lot to do with 2035 at first, the more I see of the game the more I think it does. Did you read Metro 2035? Watch the story trailer and pay attention to this one?

The DORUK the character models looks a bit dated but the environment is rich and colorful which surely makes a immersive world for the player.

Yeah the models are rough. Sound design is mediocre and voice acting is....oof, to say the least. Draw distance is also lacking a bit.
I guess the biggest point of criticism is that it doesn't or barely seems to have elements of the previous games, like the atmosphere in the metro area, which made the game unique. That being said I'm still hyped for the game and excited to find out how they manage to find a balance between outside and tunnel gameplay

I played the first two three times each, I loved them. Like the other two it is so immersive. To me this looks like icing on a very grand cake. I like how they have kept the original sounds of the spiders and weapons, like the Alien films kept the distinctive sounds of their weapons and scanner.

Oh God, I can't wait for this game. Buying a new GPU next month, getting Metro Exodus right after that, and Cyberpunk 2077 (hopefully) in June or July. Then I will be SOOOO f*cking happy.

I'm honestly not sure yet. I'll either go with Radeon 7 or 2080. The deciding factors will be Radeon availability, and taking into consideration the fact that I'm using an LG monitor with freesync, that isn't on Nvidia's list for adaptive sync working with their drivers. I'll go with the AMD GPU if I can. I know Navi will likely be coming out later this year, and the 2080 is probably the better card, but I'm just really not too worried about all that. I need an upgrade, and I'd be consistently waiting for the next best thing and never upgrade if I don't just pull the trigger on something. Plus I'm ready to get out from under this R9 390X. And in a few years I'm gonna build an entire new system anyway. As long as the Radeon 7 can play Cyberpunk 2077 and Metro Exodus on high settings at 2560x1080, I'll be happy. And I'm sure it can. It's well over 100% faster than the R9 390X.
@@AlphaMachina Ah ok, thanks for this explanation. If you can get a Radeon 7 I would definitely go for that, plus it's suppose to have 16GB VRAM as well so that's great for 1440p and 4k. Yeah, I'm thinking of a new gpu upgrade as well months from now, and for a whole new computer too, I'm probably going back to AMD.

The gamer seems to be a noob to the Metro series. He/she doesn't understand that ammo conservation is key and also doesn't know how to handle the spiders.
Yeah, Spiderdens are a great way to actually stock up on ammo - just keep the light at maximum and wait until the spiders die from it. No need to waist any ammo

Metro 2033 and Last light are some of my favorite games of all time. Needless to say I cannot f*cking wait for this. Some people might find the slow gameplay boring, but that is what makes this series so unique. It is more immersive than any other FPS out there.
Also a tip for people who like immersive games; play Metro in Russian with English subtitles
