Hi Hope I have the right person!! lovely chatting to you today, brought back some special memories of my trip to the TT in the 90's!! Love the u tube uploads. Have a mighty time @ TT 2012. Ride Safe.
Hi there, thanks for your comment, always good to chat about the TT, nice meeting you too, new video in June... time to get packed now and set the bike up :)
Thanks for your comment, Bray is a great place to watch, I went this year and filmed again from different spots, you can see the new TT 2012 video on my channel page, first shot is my favorite from Sulby Straight
what a great insight to the TT from a visitors POV. Cracking edit with great soundtrack (Both bikes and music). This has made my mind up that I'm going next year! Even thought the wife wants me to sell the bike! Ha no chance!
Excellent video for those who could not be there is a very good sample of what they lost. By the way, in Cronk-y-Voddy straight we were just on the outher side of the road.. Cheers from Portugal
Great vid thanks for sharing. Was there myself in 2011 and this is a good reminder. Rode the 37 mile course several times over race week. The racing was amazing being able to get so close and I stood in the same point as you at the bottom of Bray Hill watching the bikes bottom out. Love to go again.
Great work Carlos! It's brought the memories flooding back to me - especially the accident on Mad Sunday that saw the mountain road closed off (for what seemed like an eternity). God there were some lunatics out & about that day: & not necessarily in a good way tbh. I distinctly remember very nearly being wiped-out by a 4x4 reversing (!!) back up the road at Mountain Box after a push-bike had fallen off the back of it; & then getting undertaken, by some fully-commited nutjob on a Gixer, at Windy Corner, despite the speed restriction there. Thank God the racing during the week was fantastic - otherwise I'd probably have been left traumatised!
q 1) 30k+ q2) race bikes (Over 750cc up to 1000cc 4 cylinders 4-stroke) (Over 750cc up to 1000cc 3 cylinders 4-stroke) (Over 850cc up to 1200cc 2 cylinders 4-stroke) q3) not the whole event only single classes due to time restrictions but whole events stopped during the 1st and 2nd WWs
@layback590 if you go book the ferry around Xmas time and you can camp or try Homestay where you stay in someones home for the visit, again book around Xmas for that coming year. Having said that I met a guy there last year and he just rode up to the port and got on the next ferry and then found somewhere to stay when he got on the island, he was lucky though
My fave vids start like this you can hear the bikes screaming then a quick blurrr their gone....helmets off to the real men who race these beastttttttttttttttt
Your video certainly shows it. Have a safe 12months and come back next year for more or why not come over for the MGP. Same set up as the TT but more towards the classic bikes. Not as busy spectator wise so more chance to see the rest of the Island. You could come along to our grass roots Drag race event manxdragracing com. cheers
The modern superbikes are regularly cracking 190 mph on various sections of the course. Guy Martin reckons he can get 185-190 down bray hill! Mc Guinness recked 200mph possible past wagon and horses too! Its a mans race for men the TT!
The paddock is open to anyone all during the TT fortnight, you can meet racers and see mechanics working on bikes very close up, to get into the pits you do need a pass and know someone from one of the teams or be working in the pit lane for a racer. My advice is if you like speaking to the pro racers to go during practice week, they have more time to give and enjoy speaking with everyone. Enjoy and ride safe!
JUST WATCHED IT AGAIN BRILLIANT MUSIC AND EXCELLENT CAMERAMANSHIP, WELL DONE
Excellent video and very apt and thoughtful tribute at the end - nice job,
