Watching this show growing up being black was great, and now as an adult it all clicks. It's sort of Dave Chappelle's comedy where it's humor mainly calls out the absurdity of racism and why more extreme stereotypes are applied. Funny side note though my boyfriend who's white had never seen the Boondocks. So we watched through it when it was on Hulu and at one point he goes "This show might be the only thing that comes close in N words per minute to when you and your brother are together." 😅

You are young and I don't know your background, but there are Black people like this who hate themselves. My late great-grandmother born in 1899 in Mississippi used to say we were Scotch Irish. I'm a dark skinned Black man, so I wouldn't be confused with being Scotch or Irish. That's how deep self hate is with some Black folks. So, Uncle Ruckus is my favorite and I think is the most hilarious character on the show. The character concept is pure genius and Black folks love him because he allows us to laugh at that type of character because in real life, we hate Black people like Uncle Ruckus and want to strangle them. The Boondocks is the best cartoon in history. It’s the most thought provoking cartoon ever, because it educates folks who aren’t aware of how lost other people can be. And it also makes people aware of facts and nuances that most people don’t realize. Fun fact a lot of the episodes are taken from real life scenarios so episodes like “booty warrior” and a few other episodes are actually take a narrative of real life scenarios that happen to real people.
As an adult who watched the Boondocks repeatedly, along with family guy, Rick and Morty, and other 70s through the 90s shows, I love the show. To bad most show lost their imagination and follow political situation. Shows are made to escape from reality for a while. Shot, if I want to watch worldwide issues, I can watch the news.

Not really a good reaction video. Without any context or lore, whoever watching it would obviously insinuate bad connotations and cliche remarks at a table focal point. All jokes aside this cartoon in particular is one of the most talked about and controversial ones for years out of all the cartoons; based off of my experience.

Watching a true first reaction of a younger generation is great. I watched this show in high school. Lol
Not really a good reaction video. Without any context or lore, whoever watching it would obviously insinuate bad connotations and cliche remarks at a table focal point. Her perceptions and her initial reactions were genuine but her reactions sounded petulant and obvious . The younger generation would not understand the meanings behind the joke and dark humor. You can’t expect someone to do a reaction video on a specific character without any context.
All jokes aside this cartoon in particular is one of the most talked about and controversial ones for years out of all the cartoons; based off of my experience.
Good point, and i don't blame her for the bad reaction video. If i could relate to her without any backstory of the cartoon i would be offended. But why would i? Its satire, and this cartoon has been here for more than a decade. Why is she taking the jokes so seriously. Agreed.
