She was happy to take the pay cheques all those years including going across to Angel and waxed lyrical about him at all the Comic Cons. Hollywood types think what they do is do necessary and important - it’s weird. Charisma went to Hollywoke to trade on her looks then complains about it - she could have become a doctor or something useful. And Marti Noxon the same. Got her chance thanks to Joss. Stuck around for YEARS. Was so oppressed she worked for free on Dr Horrible just to hang out and do creative stuff with Joss, Nathan and co

Joss relates to the villains in a way that he can’t relate to the hero because guns don’t kill people, Joss kills people.
