- In this video, we run our very first race out at king of the hammers in Johnson Valley California. We have never raced before, and don't have a ton of practice in our four seat can am x3 max UTV, however we go out and give it our best!

Amazing video! Also great tip keeping your thumbs out of the wheel, it super easy just to set them in there but I had the wheel spin out on me one time in my X3 and it bruised up my thumb pretty bad. Lucky it didnt break or anything major. But awesome on you teaching her to keep her thumbs out of the wheel!
Thanks! It’s amazing how fast the steering wheel on an x3 will kick back! I had it happen in my crawler once, and on the x3 once, I thought I broke my thumb each time!

Thanks! I had thought about different ways to film this, and just seemed easier to film it hand held! This really gave us some great insight into the whole process, and what we need to work on!

@wheelinoutwest I saw the clip in the video. Thanks for the mention, but I just wanted to make sure Emily could say, "That's me. I did that!" You're going to have a lot of work to do to get her ready for next year. Pushing through the cold and wet and finishing is a stepping stone for the future. Lol

Thanks! We love our fourseater! But it probably wasn’t the most ideal for this race, but we made it work! More than anything we just wanted to try this out! And we had a blast!

Tell your daughter that she is a STUD! This is an amazing video and you all did an amazing job!!!!! My wife has a 15-year old son that wont go over 20 MPH without freaking out hahahaha. Hopefully you all had a good time and she sticks with it! In this day and age where you cannot get kids away from their phone and video games this is inspiring. Awesome job!
Thanks! We definitely are not speed people either, but she did a great job work her way up to being more comfortable at higher speeds! I agree, my kids are the only kids in their class without cell phones, or video games, but will make sure they can drive Offroad, if it keeps them out of trouble!
Good on you! I remember a time when i spent the weekend with my dad out fishing or doing something out doors. It is truly lost on this generation which is sad. I have a similar set up 4-door. What size tires are you running? Was resolution a nightmare in the station wagon? We are local LA so one of these weekends i am going to run up there and run the course just to see how we do. @@wheelinoutwest
