how often do you change your oil in the jeep? Just curious. I have been using the high mileage full synthetic oil on my wife's jeep now for past 3-4 years (she is a PA and drives 50 miles one way to the hospital where she works; so about 100 miles a day, 5 days a week). I usually let her rack up almost 10k miles or more before I change the oil and filter. I also started applying the SeaFoam Motor treatment cleaner which I add into the Jeeps gas tank. I do that every few months, with my car as well (since both are vehicles are over 100K miles. Her jeep has 170K miles. Thanks for the video.

That is a good question, I run synthetic as well, usually change it every 3-5k. The reason for that is since its not a daily driver it tends to sit more, also when we do drive it we're really harsh on it. Every 3 oil changes ill put seafoam directly into the crank case for the last 20ish miles or so (usually a trip to work and the parts store then home). Every other tank of gas gets seafoam in it since it sits so much. We've got about 110k miles on it. Also just flushed the radiator this year and I change the air filters (engine and cabin) regularly. Every time I do they are absolutely filthy.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

@@mulloutdoors Thank you. Yeah I just started doing that myself regularly for both our vehicles, changing the engine air filter and the cabin air filter regularly. I only do the seafoam in the gas tank. So when you say the crankcase, do you mean adding it to the same place where you add the engine oil?

I overfilled my oil change I put the big gallon and all of the small one. Now it leaks when I turn the jeep on. Any advice?

You could always drain some out with the drain plug. Is the reading on the dipstick high?

@@mach1cwby1 it needed a new oil housing since is plastic doesn’t last as long.
For all the labor and extra things it needed it was $680. Good price don’t you think

Did you buy this jeep from some one that used to live in San Diego? Looks familiar.
