Thank you! We have so much fun going our separate ways and gathering surprises that we think each other would love. Then playing show and tell. So nice to have a partner that enjoys thrifting and knows your style:)
Back in the 80s and early 90s, I used to thrift the best vintage wool skirts and suits for work for next to nothing! I love all your finds Heather and Dave! You 2 have such an eye for the goods! ❤
Thank you for sharing! What a great way to start my day - out on a thrifting trip with you guys!! Dave, you found some amazing pieces! You are so stylish and I appreciate how much fun it must be for you to look for things for your Heather, she is so easy to dress! 😊 And Heather, I'm with you on that black shirt with the pastel florals - that was a showstopper! Off to work now, happier for starting the day with your video. Much love, Louise in the UK x
I missed this one. Love those German porcelain plates!!! Hard to find 6 together. Love mixing china. Find one thing? Heather? Not with her magic touch. Everything she touches turns into a possibility (even when I think it won't). Amazes me. The beige straight skirt. Is that what they called camel hair, which was so popular then. "Fabric made from the hairs derived from Bactrian camels is one of the most expensive types of wool. It is seen as a luxury textile, and it is on par with other luxury wools like mohair and cashmere in terms of price." We both learned something--I had no idea they used actual camel hair. I want that black sparkly beret. I want to send you a photo of the hat I found recently. Really old.
This island is a magnet for china sets from all over the world. We have people come to stay from so many places. We love our camel hair pieces in our collections💕💕💕
Yes we are concerned about led in our vintage dishes. My grandma's dishes...which we usually use were made in the 1980's...after many lead laws came into effect. Our other dishes are for decoration. Thank you for bringing up this topic as it is very important for people to be aware of. Hope you are having a beautiful day.
Dave has an eye for great thrifted finds. My husband and I love to go thrifting together. He truly knows my style!
